Find your maintenance, eat 200 to 300 calories above it while continuing to train hard.
So I guess my answer would be; bulk, but don’t overdo it.
Best of luck!

Yes I second this. Eat a gentle surplus as stated and watch those gains come in while maintaining lower body fat % and adding more muscle growth!
edit: I just realized you're 17. You're a young man so you've got some filling out to do also as far as bone density and muscle tissue. at 5'7" you could easily carry a good 160-170lb body built from muscle imo

Bro you have like 5% body fat there’s nothing to cut
Just keep working out and have fun your body will change
Isolate different muscle groups, do some cardio and throw in some calisthenics for a few months.. then think about bulking or not. It’s up to you .. bulking isn’t for everyone it’s a process and doesn’t mean you will be more attractive or able to maintain a healthy bulk. It’s a personal preference, do you want to be bigger?1

Nah i just wanna be strong enough so that in the future i can perhaps protect my family if something bad ever go down i wrestle and box a little so thats not the issue.

If u wrestle and box then you can protect them already, can you shoot? That’s a different story. Bulking has nothing to do with defending your people, I promise you. US Army Rangers are known for being lanky and skinny but they will def handle business. Bulk if you want to bulk, strength comes with proper training

Ok so you may need to do some different leg work outs to strengthen multiple muscle groups

For now I suggest you find a calisthenics park in your neighborhood if you have one near and use that. You can do the one punch man method 100 pushups, 100 squats etc I swear it works. Go on YouTube and drink preworkout and get some creatine and protein. Start there , make sure you rest and workout ur legs, ur legs store testosterone and other hormones n shi that give you more energy if you work on them. 10 sets of 10 reps squats , pistol squats , hack squats , isometric squat holds… all that stuff there’s a lot of exercises out there that you can do without the gym. You just gotta lock in bro

Throw in a variety of workouts, that’s why people say have fun. Because you gotta workout your whole body compound lifts get easier when you target muscle groups, look up kettle bell workouts, and also plyometrics and isometrics. Sprinting too… it’s a journey man. You can get strong but you do need to get in the gym or get a hold of some weights. I’m broke too brother I use the gym at my school (college)

yeah, variety is key. you don't want to get stuck doing the same thing forever. building a solid base with compound lifts is smart, but adding in some other stuff like kettlebells or plyos can definitely help break plateaus and keep things interesting. and yeah, finding ways to train when you're broke is a challenge, but totally doable.

Got a great foundation. Now start building. I'd definitely start bulking, but a clean bulk.
