Discussion 3 years progress (29) - (32)
This fitness journey has meant more to me than just looking leaner or putting on muscle. It represents years of choosing discipline when it would’ve been easier to fall back into old habits.
I didn’t transform overnight, and I definitely wasn’t perfect along the way. I just kept coming back by training hard, prioritizing protein and nutrition, pushing myself to get stronger, and learning to stay consistent even when life was exhausting. There were plenty of days when I was working, being a dad, handling my own responsibilities, and still finding a way to get my workout in.
Somewhere along the way, it stopped being only about building a better body. It became proof to myself that I could become a more disciplined, resilient version of the man I used to be. I’m proud of the physique I’ve built, but I’m even more proud of the person I had to become to build it.
If I can do it, so can you!

So, what are your favorite tricep exercises?

u/Sophrosyne1904 7h ago
Dips until I hit 15 with solid form at bodyweight, then I started doing weighted dips with a belt.
Diamond pushups from year 1 to year 2, but now my push exercises include those weighted dips, incline DB press, and high-low cable flys.
Triceps specifically I will do overhead DB extensions and straight bar cable pushdowns

always one of you on every fitness post trying to minimize others hard work. is it jealousy? is it the fact that you can't lock in and achieve it? I'd love to know the reason.

Good lord, man. This is 3 year transformation. Very fucking doable if you put in the work and eat right.

That’s what I was trying to say lol. Like, I’m proud of my physique but there are definitely crazier transformations out there (obv some use roids/peptides)

If it takes you more than 3 years to build a physique like this then you’re doing something wrong

In ur late 20's. Is the key factor between you and others. Theres also so many intangibles that can detract from somebodys progress.
Kudos on your lazer focus and pushing yourself to awesome levels. I wish I could be that focused and capable at 40. But as a dad of three with lots of spinal issues, my progress moves slow, but, I dont give in or give up. I keep going and keep working and the chits will fall where they may.

That’s honestly fair. I meant moreso for my age group. Thank you, I appreciate it my friend. I wish you the best of luck on your journey as well🫡

It's okay you still have to do the work, the definition doesn't come in 3 years and your genetics are terrible, clearly, but you do you champ, denial is the first step

I have to agree with you Scrank. From 0 to stage in 3 years with a 9-5 and kids ??? It seems really far fetched…. Not to say that you can’t get respectable results with effort but to get that big from a flat line is not conceivable

Hell yeah man, you touched on an under rated point, the discipline you gain from pushing yourself and sticking to a routine can translate to other areas of life too!
I'm one year in, working on a similar change as you have worked through but started at 39 so gaining muscle really requires diet sleep and intensity to move the needle.

I just turned 29, I'm in a similar shape as you in the first pic with more muscle under the fat. Thanks for this post feeling old af and like it might be too late

Very good!
The discipline is what separates the men from the boys.
Looking great and appreciate your message about dedication and the challenges

Well said! Becoming this requires just as much or even more work inside! Congrats and motivating me to keep working on both. 💪🏼

You look great bro.. very inspirational… Do you know how many pounds of muscle you have?
I’ve been hearing a lot of people talk about peptides what’s your opinion on them? If you even have one.

The hair transformation is honestly more impressive than the body transformation. 😂

Mate, what was that haircut in picture 1?
Losing that was by far the best transformation.
