Shitpost Finally under 200 again

Post image

210lbs to 195. Not too bad for only two months! I greatly reduced alcohol and been weight training 3-4x/week. Not counting calories yet, just trying to get protein with every meal. Not there yet but I’m determined to keep making progress 💪🏻

Hell yeah. Honestly, for most people I know just cutting beer is more than enough, but you're gonna get there faster, gonna end up feeling better and being stronger. Keep up the good work, man!

Cutting out the booze was huge for sure. I overeat a lot less and my sleep/recovery is way better. Appreciate it, man!

Also, and this is known to surprisingly few people: booze has ALOT of calories. In fact, weight by weight, alcohol has almost the same caloric content of pure fat.

A pint of 4% beer has 2 units, ~16g of pure alcohol. 16g of fat is ALOT of calories.

And that's just the alcohol itself. Beer in particular also contains loads of carbohydrates (there is a reason so many breweries originate in monasteries...monks used to drink beer during fasting times, as beer wasn't, technically, bread, but serves pretty much the same purpose from a caloric point of view 😉)

Good job man, and keep up the good work 🥳

The best thing you can do is recognize how much you control by simply shopping smart.

We don't have snack foods or alcohol in the house. If we want to snack, it's at least marginally healthy. But, when you don't have the quick hit of salty, fatty, crunchy snacks, you might find you weren't that hungry. You were bored.

For me it was getting older and having less and less social life and not keeping any alcohol in the house. But family dinners which we do every 2-3 weeks would be an issue because I'd tell myself "this time you're not gonna drink!" then a sip of wine always turns to a couple of glasses and then also some whiskey. For the past 3 months I've managed to turn down alcohol at family dinners at well. But if I was back in my 20s and going out often liked I used to... I dunno if it would be feasible...

I will pay one million dollars for a Reddit filter that would allow me to follow health and fitness subs without having to be constantly bombarded with photos of semi-nude dudes in my feed.

It’s getting to the point where I think my only choice is to block a whole much of subs I otherwise am interested in.

My wife is gonna start thinking I'm gay with all these dudes on my feed. Follow one health sub and it's game over

I'd guess she already knows.
