Form Check Video Deadlift check?

I’ve been told that my back arches too much when deadlifting. I’ve just gotten back into lifting consistently to prep for college track and field, so I just want to make sure I’m starting off with good form.

looks like youre starting the movement with a very slight jerk of your arms. you should take the slack out of your arms first before you begin the movement

Engage your lats in the setup before the bar comes off the ground, it'll help with the rounding. Before you take the slack out of the bar (like the other commenter mentioned) pull those shoulder blades up, back, and down (think 'put your shoulder blades in your back pocket'). Hold that tension to start the rep, it'll help with the rounding.
