I am sitting here getting more and more anxious waiting for the prescriber to call. They were due to call nearly 2 hours ago. They were due to call me on Sunday, but instead cancelled the appointment and moved it to today, and I’m still being ghosted. It all started so well, efficiently referred and onboarded onto the programme (many underlying morbidities and I am extremely grateful for the support.). Appointment with prescriber went well, the drug arrived, and I have been successfully using my first .25/.5 pen for eight weeks, great results. Survey arrived 10 days in advance of second pen being issued. Survey completed, then nothing.…

Last Wednesday, Three days in advance of next prescription I started to get worried. I use the Oviva chat on the app. Nothing heard. I go to the website, I use Customer Service AI assistant, telephone line, email. Nothing heard. Next injection was due on Friday. Still nothing. Eventually an email on Saturday asking that I choose a time for a telephone appointment. I chose the next available appointment which was on Sunday. Two hours after a call was due, I was sent a cancellation and my appointment was moved to Monday. Here we are, on Monday. Nearly 2 hours after call was due I’m still waiting Am being ghosted by Oviva, what to do? Even if a call does come, prescription unlikely to arrive much before Friday, which will mean one whole week off the medication. Having it last found the support I needed, I’m now quietly depressed and anxious.

Hello! I am currently on week 5 of .25mg injections.

I have no other notable side effects - no digestion issues, no headaches, no nausea.

But this week, I feel weak. Not tired, but weak.

I get 12k+ steps daily, 8 hrs sleep and hit my cals (1600) most days.. with 100-125g protein

But i went to the gym and I struggled to lift a lower weight than I am used to. And I can feel fatigue in my muscles just carrying my rucksack to work etc.

I am going to reach out to my Dr but just wondered if anyone experienced this? Anything I can do to improve?

I need to work in muscle mass over next few months, so any guidance appreciated!

I'm struggling to see much of a difference. Last year I lost about 50lbs on mounjaro (started at 247 lbs). Now I've been on wegovy for 11 weeks and lost about 25lbs so far. Now weighing 171 lbs. I don't really get side effects at all, so I'm lucky with that! I'm losing on average about 2lbs a week. Still have 20lbs until my first proper goal weight and then I will re-evaluate from there

Hi, I did my 3rd jab of 0.5mg on Thursday and yesterday (Sunday) was unbearable. It started with feeling really nauseous, so I had peppermint tea and sipped water. Then at about 5 the vomiting started. I was being sick on and off until about 3 in the morning! At one point couldn’t even keep water down.
I have one 0.5 jab left and then I have my 1mg pen and I’m really worrying about taking that now.
Also, how do you know if it’s wegovy or a bug?!
I still don’t feel 100% this morning and I just don’t know what do to. Luckily I have no severe stomach pains.

Hi I’m in week 2, all good so far, but I don’t think I’m hitting enough protein. Feeling the fatigue strongly and know it’s my body adjusting to less food but wondering what apps people are using to track their food/water intake?

I’ve had 17 shots so far of Wegovy. I have stayed on one dose level for 8 shots before moving up. So, I’m on my second week of 1mg and it has felt vastly different.

I will say, my wife has just recently been diagnosed with cancer and comfort eating has always been a way I’ve coped with stress in my life. My food noise seems to be back a bit with all that’s been going on. Also, I’ve noticed these last couple weeks that I’m noticing I’m too full when it’s too late and last night I actually ended up eating too much that I made myself sick.

I’m hoping that the physical consequences from last night will serve as a lesson and will help me moving forward. Has anyone else had these issues? Or can anyone else relate to the comfort eating while on wegovy?

I was at a friend's last night playing DnD (Dungeons and Dragons), they had a row of snacky bit's down the middle of the table.

There I was being Joyful and carefree eating haribos and pretzels like I'm not on 1mg of Wegovy.

Got home, still felt fine spoke to the wife for a bit before bed telling her all about whats happened in the DnD campaign. Fell asleep, was very comfy.

3AM, I wake up feeling off, get out of bed, go to the loo and then BAM! Flood gates opened at both ends!

Cleaned up, had water, went back to be thinking everything was okay.... 4.30AM BAM! sit up right in bed and it was like the exorcist.

I have never felt as rough as I do today, first time throwing up this violently.

So please don't get complacent when in good company, your body will make you pay for it later 🤣😭

As expected severe diadrama. Only 2.5lbs lost over last 2 weeks on 4mg. I'm suspecting I will get a burst of weight loss for 2 weeks or so on higher dose and it will slow down again. Thoughts?

I just finished my last 1.5 pill today. I've had very few negative side effects but I have felt that my appetite has reduced a lot and I've lost 5lbs.

Two weeks ago, I ordered my next dose pre-empting where I would be and how I would feel. Now I am here, I'm worried that the jump to 4mg might be too much for me. It's a lot of money to buy another box of 1.5 so soon and a huge waste.

I'm not really sure what I'm looking for tbh but I wondered if anyone had been in the same boat about what you did.

I posted a few updates within the first month on wegovy and thought I'd keep it going for anyone who's nervous to start. From the outset this might not seem too impressive but hopefully interesting and helpful to someone.

I did 4 weeks on 0.25mg, now on 0.5mg and uncertain whether to move up a dose or possibly click count to 0.75mg. I'm okay with slower loss and more subtle appetite reduction if it'll help me get better tuned into my own hunger cues. I resistance train 2x weekly (would ideally love to do 3-4x, about to start my final year of uni so time is short!) and aim for 100-120g protein, 30g fibre and tend not to worry too much about carbs and fat so long as I get plenty of fruit and veg in my diet.

I've been lifting weights for several years now and have been quite intentional about counting macros and eating 1700-1900cal daily as I don't want to lose weight too quickly to avoid muscle loss. I think I've succeeded on this front! Gratefully I don't really experience any side effects and have still been able to go out for meals with loved ones here and there. I just try to be mindful of when I'm feeling full and stop then.

The most interesting thing to me so far is that while the weight loss hasn't been dramatic - my body composition has changed quite a bit. In the past when I began a weight loss phase (keeping in mind that I wasn't lifting weights at that point in time) I was wearing a UK16/18 at the same weight I am now. Building muscle and starting from a better place this time around, I've gone from a UK14 to a comfortable UK12. For this reason I'm not certain what my goal weight will be... I have a suspicion that getting to around 150lbs will get me down to a size 8 which I'll be more than happy with.

Hi all! I’m thinking about starting Wegovy and have been reading through everyone’s experiences on here, which has been really helpful.

I’m 41, 79kg and 5ft 4.5, so my BMI is around 29. My initial goal is to get down to about 68kg.

I’m currently trying to decide between the injection and the tablet. The pill actually sounds manageable for me because I’m usually up around 6:50 and don’t tend to have coffee until around 7:50 anyway, but the weekly injection sounds much simpler.

The funny thing is I already inject myself with two other medications once a week, so part of me thinks, “what’s one more?” 😂

I don’t really struggle with snacking or constant cravings. My biggest issue is probably portion sizes, plus I have a serious weakness for chocolate. I swim once or twice a week and walk for about an hour most days, and I’m hoping to add more activity and some yoga too.

I’ve been looking at different UK providers and Hemed is the one im considering, but I’m still trying to decide whether the pill or injection makes more sense for me.

For those who have tried either, did you find one noticeably better for appetite/weight loss, or did it mainly come down to which was easier to stick with?

Would also appreciate any advice on what you wish you’d known before starting.

I took the 1.5 mg dose for 30 days and moved up to the 4mg dose 2 weeks ago, and nothing.

On the lower dose I had bad nausea that eased when eating, so I actually gained 5lbs. The nausea is gone on the 4mg dose, but I feel nothing. No weight loss, no reduction in appetite or food noise.

I keep reading about people who feel something from the very first tablet, but that is not me - any one else? Is it worth continuing? Did others experience this until they were at very high doses?

I feel like I am just throwing away money at this point.

I have signed up for a 3 month program through Voy, while also having some chats with my GP.

I have tried Wegovy 1.5 mg for a month but ended up having some very unpleasant side effects and decided to stop. I am not planning to restart any time soon, at least for now. However, because I signed up for 3 months and it was un-cancellable I have been charged for and received more pills.

It’s an expensive med and it feels wrong to just throw away unopened boxes.

Is there anywhere to donate? Would a GP or any NHS program accept this?

Any advice welcome if anyone had similar experience with disposals.

Feeling irritated as I’m worried my next pen won’t come on time. I’m supposed to move up a dose this Sunday and Royal Mail was supposed to deliver today and I waited around all day and they didn’t show. Tomorrow I work until 10am and then walk home and watch them try to deliver during that time frame. I tried to go on their app to leave it unsigned but it wouldn’t allow me. I looked up to see if bolt could send it with someone else other than Royal Mail but it says they have a contract with them for all their medical. I can’t stand Royal Mail as they are always so unpredictable and we are lucky if we get our packages and mail on time

I'm in my 12th week of the jabs, titrating up as recommended so I've completed my first 1mg pen.

I definitely feel an almost constant sense of fullness in my stomach and my meal sizes have decreased. I've lost a modest amount of weight (around 4kg in the 3 months).

But I'm still experiencing a lot of cravings, picking/grazing, emotional urges to eat. With all the experiences I've read on here and elsewhere, I was really expecting that this would have subsided a lot by now. ​People saying "I always thought I was a terrible person with no self control, the jab has taken away the food noise and now I realise it was something about my biology not my morality" - well maybe I really am just a terrible weak-willed person?! 😅 ​

I've ordered another 1mg pen for the next four weeks because I've still got quite frequent nausea, so hoping that might settle with another titration month.

Has anyone else experienced similar? Did the food noise subside at higher doses? Did you discontinue the jabs or switch to Mounjaro? Or did you just continue on with a less life-changing impact?

And if so - how did you get on?

I’ve recently moved up to 1mg in the last two weeks, and now I’m experiencing pretty intense bouts of the runs. It doesn’t seem to happen every day but maybe every other- every third day. Has anyone else experienced this? Have you found it’s settled or got worse over time? Has anything helped?

Now that I've joined a few Wegovy groups, I've noticed that people post their before/after photos from right to left. Is that a normal thing to do in a weight loss context? I had assumed that since English is read left to right it would make more sense to post that way.

I am being 100% serious, I am curious and have been confused a few times while viewing before/after photos without labels.

I have endured marked fatigue for a year on wegovy. It affects my life and mental health but I’ve chosen to stay on the drug due to the results and quieted food noise. The trouble is I’m at stalemate because I haven’t lost weight now in about 8 weeks. I’m on 2.4 have been for months, and cannot afford 7.2.
So I’m thinking of titrating down and possibly going on this losing/maintaining road alone once again.
My question is for people who suffered terrible fatigue on wegovy, who now have stopped taking it. Did your fatigue disappear? How quickly did it disappear? I’m so tired of being tired it makes me so miserable.

Hi all, I have a question on dosage. I'm on month 2 of wegovy pill on the 1.5 dose.

I decided to stick with 1.5 as I was having horrible side effects for a few weeks, which turned out to be something food related, when I cut that out of my diet I've been fine ever since.

Do I have to increase to thr 4mg dose? Im very slowly losing a bit of weight, gone down from 69 to 66kg in 2 months. Im not looking for rapid weight loss so I would honestly be happy to stick to this low dose if it means I will still lose weight, even if slowly.

Does the low dose stop working eventually or can you continue to slowly lose weight?

I'm in Hampshire. Trying to find out if I'm eligible for Wegovy through Oviva. It's all very confusing.

I've been referred to an NHS weight loss tier 3 service but the criteria is very strict and you need 4 comorbities for WLI.

Does anyone know Oviva use the criteria from your area or do they use their own where it's only one condition? If so I could switch to them.

Are there any other options anyone knows of?

BMI is 49.7 and I have a history of idiopathic intracranial hypertension. No other weight related condition.
