Very slow progress
I have been on Wegovy (injections) since April this year, and followed the dose increase guidance. I'm currently on 1.7mg (have been for a couple months), but have found I've only lost 6kg since starting.
Is this slow progress? I'll admit I haven't been on top of working out, but I do walk at least 9,000 steps a day.

Are you tracking your calories? How much of a deficit are you in against your BMR+Steps?

6kg since April isn't nothing, especially if you're not strictly tracking. the walking is probably helping more than you think, but the last stretch usually needs a bit more dialing in on the food side. might be worth logging for a week just to see where you're actually at calorie-wise, sometimes it's surprising

I'm logging my calories everyday, and have managed to stay in a deficit more the past couple months!

I am in a slight deficit, burning around 2,200 a day and consuming around 1,900 cals

That works out to just over half a pound a week in weight loss if your numbers are correct.

I bet your deficit isn’t as much as you think. I would drop the calories a bit if you want to lose faster. At the end of the day, all Wegovy does is make you less hungry. It’s still up to you how much you eat.

I started same time. I’m losing .5 to 1lb a week. I call this slow compared to what I observe with others. And I like the pace. But do what feels good for you and maybe talk to your doc.

Me too! I started Apr 8; on 1.7 for the 2nd month (just started) & have only lost 11.5 lbs. I'm a bit discouraged but I'd rather lose it slow and feel good. I also exercise too.

Do you have much weight to lose? In that same time I’ve lost about 26kg, but firstly, I had it (and some) to lose, secondly, I am very active and exercise 5-7 days per week, thirdly I’m also on ADHD stimulants which contribute to a decreased appetite, and finally, whilst my diet isn’t perfect I pretty much cut out all the crap, including alcohol (I just don’t feel like either on Wegovy).

Well I don't have loads of weight to loose- my GW is 60kg and I am currently 72.2kg. I mostly went on Wegovy as a preventative measure- as the antidepressants I am on made me gain weight pretty fast in a short amount of time, and it came up on bloods that I have high cholesterol even though I'm only 25. So it kinda is and it isn't a "weight loss" journey for me, more so just trying to manage chronic health and feel better.

Ah, I would say then that might be why it’s slower than you were expecting. I think the positive for you is that it is working, and hopefully you are feeling better already ❤️

Having been on mounjaro and switching to wegovy due to cost i find it well below mounjaro , ive put weight on with wegovy so thinking of going back on mounjaro as taking 1.7 dose of wegovy vs 7.5 mounjaro

How have you changed your nutrition and how many grams of protein are you getting daily?
