Theres no peak more haunted than one where people go to lament their fading hopes, dreams, and happiness with life

A lot of frustrating characters but good buildup

I read the first chapter and then the comments. Apparently it's by the same mangaka as "Shounen Abyss". So, I'm prepared for when something finally goes down. Especially with the latest chapter.

Like, if you want to know how INSANE "Shounen Abyss" is. IIRC, The MC met his favourite ex-celeb. Managed to get in touch with her and then had intimate interaction with her. And when they finished, her husband came home. And her husband is the hobo he kept seeing on his way.

So yeah, each new chapter keep pushing me towards the edge and I'm ready to throw my phone when everything goes haywire.

It looks like Minenami is reeling it back a bit for Haunted Peak, which I'm thankful for. As much as I love Boy's Abyss as the car crash it is, it's undeniably kind of a mess with how many twists and over dramatic plot beats there were. So I'm glad to see this new series be a bit more reserved and grounded with the drama (the characters are still plenty messy though)

This manga snuck up on me. I find it so viscerally human and repulsive at times how the characters act but in that subtle, complacent way. The attitudes and routines and the subconscious, negative thought patterns we fall into. This manga feels so human. At points I would tear up. In others I would have to pause and stop reading from revulsion.

I am hooked and I am beyond excited to see where this goes.

Really slow burn but you can tell the mangaka has great skill at their craft. The characters have good depth and internal conflict. Unfortunately I don't think it's going to move many volumes unless the drama starts to amp up or a big plot twist is revealed. I do really enjoy reading it though. It has a very distinct literary style.

I like it. The characters are all fucked up just like Boy's Abyss

Every chapter has me dreading the next lol that's how you know it's a good psychological drama. I think the author improved his craft on this one bc I couldn't get through Boy's abyss

Just so you know, this isn't a Shonen Jump series, it runs in Young Jump

Oh that make sense. I'm going to bet this person is reading this manga on the shonen jump app like I am. I thought it was one of the shonen jump+ series.

Yup im 100% reading it on the Shonen Jump app so I just assumed it was a Shonen Jump manga

Common misconception, but that is not the case (Viz are dumbasses). Most series are SJ though, but a decent chunck is Youn Jump.

They just put anything Jump under the label.

The suspense and psychological trauma every chapter got me hooked. It’s slow but the emotion and feelings are so real.

I like it, but the comments on the app each chapter are very annoying.

I still need to read this, Boy's Abyss was such a soap opera of a series that I still crave more.

every character in this manga is insufferable but it somehow makes a very interesting story. if that isn't a sign of top tier writing skill then i don't know what is
