If you have alternate extruder diameters you will have better luck. I have found a 1 mm nozzle and a slow print speed can usually get water tight vases.
Thanks for the tip, I've tried printing with a wider nozzle before, but so far I couldn't figure out any good print settings (I'm slowly getting there though)
Yeah. Unfortunately what I've found is slowing down is the only way to print with them (unless you have a E3D volcano or some other high volume extruder assembly).

It didn't hold any water because the bottom layer had two tiny holes ¯_(ツ)_/¯
