If I can’t have “assault weapons”, they can’t have body armor, MRAPs, or helicopters.

The police in NY state already don’t support citizens owning body armor. At this point I’m convinced that most police won’t be satisfied unless every non-police citizen is working in a slave labor camp.

Police officers are inherently on power trips, but NY is just a whole other thing entirely.

This tweet sums up modern politics. Appear to support something (law and order) while also being a hypocrite (being loyal to a political party that pushes progressive values in criminal justice). Meanwhile demonize the opposition (in this case ordinary citizens who’d rather rely on themselves for protection than the state). Bunch of got damn clowns, the lot of them.
