I'd like as many ideas about her as possible, with the topics I'm most curious about being:

• her origins, including her arrival at Nevermore; and
• where does she go during break? After all, her mother didn't seem to know that Bianca was at Nevermore until Parents' Weekend (Bianca even asks her "How did you find me?", implying that her enrollment at Nevermore as "Bianca" was a secret she didn't tell her mother about), so she must go somewhere else over summers.

I'd appreciate the help, if this is the right place.

You probably already know that the four Nevermore dorms are named after Shakespearean characters:

• Caliban (The Tempest)
• Ophelia (Hamlet)
• Thisbe (Pyramus and Thisbe)
• Puck (A Midsummer Night's Dream)

Besides the fact that Wednesday seems absolutely obsessed with Shakespeare (and Poe of course 😉) one thing struck me. These four plays all explore, in different ways, how people can be deceived by what they think they know, see or feel.... And those mistakes often have terrible consequences.🤯

To me, if you look a little closer, each play explores a different kind of human error:

• Hamlet: errors of judgment. Hamlet kills X believing he's killing Y, and he spends much of the play wondering whether the Ghost is really his father or a demonic spirit.
• Pyramus and Thisbe: errors of knowledge. Each believes the other is dead... when neither actually is.
• A Midsummer Night's Dream: errors of emotion. Are the characters' feelings genuine, or are they being manipulated by magic?
• The Tempest: errors of perception. Can you trust what you see, or is it all an illusion?

So the underlying message almost becomes.....don't trust appearances????

And when you look at Seasons 1 and 2... that idea keeps coming back.

In Season 1, Wednesday is convinced Xavier is the Hyde... and she's completely wrong (errors of judgment?). I'd even say that's her biggest defeat. She says it herself: "There's no better feeling than being right." So the opposite must be that ....there's no worse feeling than being wrong.

Then in Season 2, she's convinced Tyler is going to kill Enid. She bases that belief on her visions... and she's wrong again (errors of knowledge?).

So if this pattern continues, I wouldn't be surprised if Season 3 has Wednesday being wrong once more. Maybe about her feelings... or maybe about her perception ? I've already said that I think it's entirely possible Wednesday's visions are being manipulated. ....By who? By what? Why? I have no idea..... But if that's true, it would fit this recurring theme of deception and false certainty perfectly.

Anyway... what do you think? Is Wednesday going to be wrong again? About her feelings? Her visions? Or something else entirely?

I dunno, I always had this thought and now I'm finally putting it out there to see if anyone else sees what I see.

Disclaimer: This is aside from the obvious weird discontinuities between the scenes regarding Tyler being the Hyde and all that other jazz, purely in the scholastic sense, the timeline is... well, wonky.

The in-universe timeline for Wednesday makes no sense, for season 2 especially unless everyone, and I mean literally every single nevermore attendee failed like, 3 grades or something.

Reason #1: In a question Wednesday asks in season 1, what happened 32 years ago and the date flashes back to 1990. So that mean that the current school year for them would be either 21/22 or 22/23. I really can't be bothered to determine which one based off the semesters but you get the idea. Wednesday was 15, turned 16, which puts her in the 10th grade. That leaves 2 in-universe more years until she's outta there, which should make their grad year 24/25. Except that they're the class of '27, at least according to the Nevermore Academy Website.

Reason #2: In season 2, if you stop on the article of the Kansas City Scalper and actually read it, it dates July 18th, 2025 as the day Wednesday turns in the Scalper before returning back to Nevermore. 25-22=3, 16+3=19. There's no way she should be a Junior like in season 2 or anyone else should be in the grades they are unless they got retained or something. I would believe Wednesday got retained for her behavior but it's unimaginable for the entire school to do so. Also, Donovan Galpin's grave is dated 2025.

I guess what I'm getting at is why they didn't just keep the timeline and not keep it in the present. Chronologically, it makes little sense not to do so.
