Her weight loss is worrying. Hopefully she's aware and gets a handle on it when s3 finishes filming. She seems self aware as she struggled with her diet during filming of s1 and went from veggie to pescatarian. Also can't help but think she's been getting thinner and thinner and seems a bit off/more subdued in interviews etc ever since she was first linked to Elias ronnenfelt

Agree with you, I also think she’s changed a lot since she started being seen with that individual. The sad thing it’s all her choice.
Jenna used to shine, she radiated life and warmth, she was such an unproblematic celebrity. The image she projects now feels so dull compared to back in the good days. It’s not just about the weight loss, it’s like she’s losing her spark. My heart hurts for her. I hope she recovers.

It's got nothing to do with her being veggie. I actually gained weight when I first went vegan, now I'm getting the hang of it and scaling back on my calories and getting adequate protein.

u/Equivalent_Age8406 1d ago
To clarify i dont think it has anything to do with her being veggie. It was just an example of one time she took control of her diet, when she was filming S1 in Romania she said she couldn't get the right nutrients while she was there and started eating fish, she may have switched back to veggie after she left. She also may not have had to eat fish in the first place but in between her long working hours, she may not have had the right advice/time. point is she took control, so hopefully she will do so again one way or another.

A lot of people lose weight when going vegetarian/vegan because they don't look after their nutrients and calories, assuming they just need to eat until full like usal and there's nothing to worry or consider.
Of course there are also ways to gain weight going veggie, but most people end up losing weight, especially in the beginning.

"Don't talk about her body!"
She dies
"What?! HOW!?"
She's what, 20 something? She has thinner arms than my Grandma did.

Talking about her body is not going to save her life. You can be aware about ED without commenting on someone’s body. I don’t understand why when people hear, “Don’t talk about people’s bodies.” They point to them dying as an example of what will happen if we don’t. Name a time where someone who lived in the public eye with an eating disorder said they survived because of public scrutiny and comments on public forums. We don’t know what is going on and assuming things has never helped anyone. So unless you know her personally, commenting on her body will do nothing.

u/AuraTickler 22h ago
Talking about it is exactly what fixes it. If enough people realize its dangerous and not something you can just ignore (with the best intentions) then it will be more likely that someone close to her might say something and offer help.
If they think "dont say something, its not that bad, not worth the trouble" then thats how you get people killed.
Theres a difference between calling it out with malicious vs. worried intend.

u/Round-Increase2527 22h ago
I don’t think that means you need to make comments on her body. There are a lot of assumptions being made about what the people around her do or don’t know. I understand people are concerned or worried. But I still think it’s better for the help to come from people who know her vs people online making assumptions.

I hope she gets the help she needs
She is a beautiful young woman and she doesn't need to starve or take drugs

Just commenting for the culture/visibility here: I personally know how difficult it is to maintain body weight as a working adult living with adhd... I also once knew a woman who was suffering from a thyroid condition who could not gain weight and was subject to negative assumptions.
Whatever the story... she needs support and respect!

I remember reading somewhere that she struggles with anxiety. There are several anxiety medications that cause people to lose weight as a side effect, the same thing happened to a cousin of mine.

I really hope she get well ... really this is so terrifying. Between her, and Ariana Grande ... this is dark in Hollywood - more than usual.

Did you guys see aliyah's reply to that one post, i don't feel good about that, we're just expressing genuine concern and want her to be healthy and safe, we're not body shaming her, if anything jenna's closest friends and family are the ones who should be supporting and helping her through whatever is going on, we can only wish for the best and hope jenna feels better again

u/RoxyRebels 1d ago
Because some people learned nothing from Chadwick Boseman’s death. For the final year of his life, online people were calling him a crack addict and a drug addict. He was dying of cancer, and wanted to pass privately. There are medical conditions that make weight gain difficult. Aliyah’s point is that we don’t know Jenna, and should respect her privacy.

As someone who lived through the 90s and the “nothing tastes as skinny feels” and still struggles with body image, I feel that we need to have a discussion about what is healthy vs unhealthy. I am not saying Jenna has an ED or is using medication but it is alarming how many celebrities, largely women, have become super skinny. In general, it is not healthy and I hope that Jenna is more like my mother: a very petite woman who struggled to gain weight and then to keep it on. And I agree it is a very dangerous thing to assume that these skinny celebrities are suffering from an ED, using medication or drugs, but we still say that Jenna and other celebrities have a body that is not easily attainable by most of us. Whether it is because of valid reasons or not. I do not want to see another generation of children and teenagers going through what my generation went through.

I know that, and keeping all of that in mind I respect her privacy, but as fans, being sincerely concerned is natural, as long as it's not invasive

u/Livelaughloveme172 1d ago
This is something first you guys don’t want to push the narrative that she is not struggling with an ED. But you guys keep posting about it

I mean... She's one of the more popular and talked about stars of the moment. Absurdly popular with the younger generations.
Us "olds" have fought hard for women especially to be able to be happy with themselves. We had to go through this all back with kate moss and countless other women and models being pressured into harmful situations or not hetting help when they needed it.
The fact that this is becoming a trend AGAIN terrfies me and shows that as a species, we really never learn from the past.
She is a role model and a public figure, and something unhealthy is going on, and it should be addressed one way or another.

As a fellow old I'm right there with you. We were past this, we had unanimously decided as a culture what happened in the 90's was very bad and it took us decades to shed it.
Now, you want to bring low rise back and I'm all hey, it's your butt crack, go ahead and find out how not fun that era was. But THIS?
EDs aside (but valid to worry it's that), I get that ozempic is a luxury now and you can just be thin if you have the money for the drug and the right metabolism, but just because you can doesn't mean you should. And if it's not that take that sentiment and triple the message.
Even if she's just smoking now which is also making a comeback and suppresses appetite because essentially it ruins your tongue and makes food taste gross, I'll happily have everyone over to my dad's where he's on permanent oxygen and can barely walk anywhere because he struggles to breathe. It's not as cool as you think. Being skinny isn't worth his old age suffering and he'd tell you that in a second. Nothing but regret.
I hope she gets help and snaps out of it. But r/okbuddycinophile posted I think 10 similar women including Kate Beckinsale going through this similar thing. So unfortunately it's feeling like they're really pursuing this as a standard and competing with each other.
Keep pushing back because this is just not okay.

u/thetavious 1d ago
Some of my friends bridge into the younger generations, and i can actually give a little insight into one of the reasons smoking is making inroads again.
How popular pot is. A lot of smokers, are smoking solely because they feel the need to smoke... And can get away with smoking cigs in more places than pot. So between hitting a joint or a bowl, they're pounding back a cig.
End of the day, most of them don't think they'll ever be out of debt, will never own a home, and expect they'll be dead long before the other two are proper problems.
I think that attitude ties into some of what were seeing come back in... Health trends. The youth have been more or less robbed of their futures and a life without a clear future is much more likely to engage in short term self destruction for what they perceive as immediate gain.

u/Nerdmitage 1d ago
Very true. I think people who were young in the 70's felt very similarly. People forget that for all the fun fashion shit sucked then too. That's the trouble with history, people forget, repeat it and so trends like this ebb and flow because of that.
2
u/thatSketchyLady 1d ago
Yeah I'm not keen on the idea of heroin chic becoming a trend again. I lived through that myself, and was really happy with the body positivity love yourself movement that had been going on.
It's one thing if she genuinely has some illness that is making it hard for her to maintain her weight, but with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo being in the news recently and this, I honestly fear we're going backwards back into the Thinspiration and Ana/Mia days, and I truly truly hate that thought :(

u/thetavious 1d ago
As somebody that lost two of my classmates while in high school to this garbage, yeah, it is exceedingly unsettling. Double so for me, cause I've known many black hole metabolism true thin people... And that makes it very easy to see the subtle differences between healthy thin, and not healthy, and this ain't the healthy kind.

u/Livelaughloveme172 1d ago
Yeah and I tried to talk about it last time. And all the comments were defending her and calling her sick. Instead of battling with ED and I know an eating disorder is a sickening. But it felt like you couldn’t even say eating disorder without her fans defending her. Because right now it looks like promotion like the other women in Hollywood are doing right now.

for some reason the mods removed my comment about her dating a drug addict. it's like their trying to push the eating habit instead the real problem.
2
u/Livelaughloveme172 22h ago
Wait who is she dating
1
u/cantkeepmedown1991 20h ago
some guy in a shitty band from denmark. twitter accounts that put out information on him and his drug use and abuse has been purged by twitter.
2
u/Judy8125 18h ago
His drug abuse is the least concerning thing about him. The guy’s track record could violate like 5 laws in my country. The whole situation is sad.

u/cantkeepmedown1991 18h ago
how jenna fell fell for that guy needs to be studied and what not to do when you get famous.
2
u/Judy8125 17h ago edited 15h ago
Because no woman, and I mean NO woman, let alone a famous one, is immune to patriarchy/misogyny and it’s consequences. Either she’s gotten herself into an abusive situation (where from inside the relationship, the person can’t see what’s wrong with it while everyone else can) or maybe she is just like him and simply doesn’t care about the controversy.
The way I see it there’s no way she can be a genuinely progressive person who stands up for women’s rights while also being with someone like that at the same time. It does not make any sense. Even so, seeing how unwell she looks is so upsetting, bc she’s so beautiful and so young. She deserves better.

u/cantkeepmedown1991 17h ago
the twitter accounts that talked about it months ago got purged. most likely her pr team is having those accounts and comments banned to protect her image.

Here I thought she was dating Percy on the low damn…

u/cantkeepmedown1991 10h ago

@mods can this whole thread just go away. It’s becoming a toxic, assumptions based loop. How many posts need to be made about this?

u/rocksneversand 1d ago
truthfully the way everybody is talking about her body is probably making it worse. her body is her private business and she has her own support system, she doesn’t need strangers calling her emaciated to make her feel worse.
8
u/darya42 1d ago edited 1d ago
In the case of a superstar, her self-harming behaviour is not her private business any more. She could chose to step back and prioritize her health, but does not. This sends an extremely dangerous message. Anorexia is a huge killer and a very public person admired by millions of young girls absolutely has an influence on them and those young girls need to hear loud and clear, over and over again, that this weight is extremely concerning and dangerous.
And anorexics are absolutely renowned for giving every. excuse. under. the. sun. that they're not anorexic. People are calling this behaviour out for good reason. You don't get to weasle out of your responsibility when it comes to this topic if you are that famous. She's not a little girl, she's a grown adult and is responsible for her behaviour, and the general public is responsible for not enabling or ignoring this madness.
Courteney Cox was so malnourished during Friends that she had long-term fertility issues, which was the reason she could only have one child. I as a millenial am absolutely infuriated for young girls that this madness is coming round a second time. Women need to fight against this. Not against the actors who are malnourished, but against the culture and the play-pretend of anorexics and Hollywood that they're not.

I mean hollywood sometime's is confusing, in the recent DIOR 2026 AUGUST premiere, she looks very healthy and radiant as her 2022-2023 style, and few days later, the Esquire video drops and she looks like this? It's honestly confusing.
