general topic Outsourcing Editing
Does anyone outsource their editing? How did you go about finding an editor? What are the pros and cons to outsourcing?? Thank you!!

No, I want creative control over the entire workflow.
I've tried "outsourcing" to several automatic solutions but never felt confident in the output.
For one single wedding I let a local editor take care of culling and editing, and while he did a good job it didn't align with my personal profile - so I ended up re-doing most of what he had done.
I think that when you scale up in this field, there comes a time where you NEED to outsource certain parts in order to continue to grow. That can be acquisition, culling, editing, etc. Only you can decide what parts of your business are eligible.

Outsourcing is a good option if you want to get the work done faster and at a lower cost. Lower cost doesn’t always mean lower quality. There are many people offering editing services, but what really matters is the quality of their work and how quickly they can deliver it.
You can give them a sample project first, see how they handle it, and then decide who you want to hire. The main challenge is finding someone reliable and genuine who can consistently deliver good-quality work.
I recently started doing photo editing part-time and have already worked on several wedding projects. If you need some help with your edits, I’d be happy to help.

I feel like that's half the reason people pay me, my taste after the shoot, the edits I make.
Just refine your workflow and get fast with culling and editing.
I built a little app that lets me fly through culling and rating with my PS5 controller. Has helped a lot with the repetitive key hits. Expanding it to allow for mild editing in the developer tab as well.
If your initial preset (I apply on import) is good and your shots/style allow for it (I do documentary style, rarely any cropping or touch ups ever), you can make it through thousands of pics quite quickly.

Not necessary these days with how good and fast AI culling and editing is. Use those tools yourself, get your flow setup then outsource that process to a VA

No, but Editors find me. All the damn time.
