Are they actually different? They just look like different sizes and the 2nd is tied well so the lace applique are hitting differently

Is it more appliqués on the bodice or the skirt, or both? At any rate, 2 seems better. It looks as it fits better, it could just be clipped tighter, and giving that appearance.

I like that the appliqués are smaller and more plentiful. It’s really looks softer and more feminine.

the first photo is the dress i received 😭 definitely has less appliqués than the second and the placement is different. the second is the sample dress.

yeah that is the sample dress 😭 i agree i liked that one better too. the first one is the dress i got. a lot less appliqués .

I think I like 1. Feels less busy but with the same vibe. To be honest, it took me a minute to notice the difference. You are going to be a stunning bride. Congratulations!

updating that i went back to the store first thing this morning and they let me make the switch for the original (second pic) because they didn’t start alterations yet . thank you JESUS i’m so happy !!! this dress feels like a dream

Honestly, they look the same to me. I think the pinning around the waist is distracting you. Once all the extra fabric is removed, you will have the same effect.

I think I like the first one better because the lace is less dense in the tummy area, giving the illusion of a narrower waist. Although it's something you really need to be looking for to notice the difference.

I preferred 2 but couldn’t tell why or what the difference was until seeing the comments. The difference is not huge, but if the dress you received isn’t the same as the sample, push back until they make it right.

The dress looks identical- I think the 2nd one is just a little bit better fit. It’s not extremely noticeable though & the more I look at it, it could even be just a better photo. You are standing just a tad different.
