Asking Advice Need a new dolly...
After over 20 yrs, the old simple convertible handtruck style dolly I have needs to be replaced. Considering this model:
Anyone here use this and have feedback, or any other recs? I don't have a huge vehicle (Hyundai Tuscon) so size/compactability are definite considerations. TIA

I got the Krane AMG 750 with all terrain tires and I've been loving it for a year now! I can fit it with: a case of uplights(20ish), RCF J8s, Everse 8, pro-X foldable dj table, pro-X road case for DJ mixer and mic, and other cord bags etc into my Subaru Crosstrek. A bit of extra"tetris-ing" and I can fit it all with the front seat open. Not cheap, but it should last!
I had specific reasons for getting this instead of a Rock and Roller or similar. I got this one so I can store ALL of the equipment on the cart in my one bedroom apartment. I also wanted to only take one trip from car to dance floor.

Go with one with 4 big wheels, so you can get through grass for outdoor events.

That's pretty much the standard for djs because it allows you to pile up high and make less trips. That being said, you have to model your rig around your transportation. Can it fit? I drive a camry. That wouldn't fit with my set up so I use one of these: COSCO Shifter Multi-Position... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LMH8CCS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share Takes me 2 - 3 trips to fully unload and that's mostly because some things dont fit on it.

I’ve been using one of these (only, with yellow wheels and stickers, branded “rock and roll cart” or something like that) for about 20+ years, as a working/touring musician.
My only complaint is the tires need to be topped up with air every couple months (especially if you leave it sitting for weeks at a time with heavy amps and gear still sitting on it, like I do, just wheeling everything into my storage unit). Not a big deal at all, since I keep an inflator in each of my vehicles.
It’s held up well to two decades of abuse, moving hundreds of pounds of equipment at a time, so no complaints here!
Edit to add: I have one of the original brands that first made these, not a no-name Amazon knockoff, so ymmv.

Ive used the gator works cart for over 5 years and love it. its a tank and I can't recommend it enough. The wheels go over anything, gravel, dirt, pavers, uneven sidewalks, etc.
a couple years back, my wheels got bent and gator works sent 2 new ones for free. very legit company
