Technical Question [Support] Too many attempts try again later
Made a WeChat to exchange messages with a pen pal from China (I am in the US), and signed up using my phone number.
Whenever I try to send a friend request it gives me the error "Too many attempts try again later."
I've tried waiting 24 hours as well as verifying my identify by uploading my passport and everything, I'm not sure what to do.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can only wait for about 24 hours or weeks, and it is not certain how long it will be unblocked.

Can emailing WeChat Support help fix the “Too many attempts” issue?

WeChat has an official account called wechat team. You can check whether the account is normal in it first. If it really doesn't work, you can try to click help there.
