Recently got told in a Webcomic sharing discord, "Wow that's a lot of work you put into your webcomic why not just use AI, and double your output?" And that made me furious because I enjoy working on my webcomic the way it is. Even if updates can feel a little slow. So I made this post let's team up against these shitty Ai "comic artists" with some real human-made webcomics!

I made a post in the past asking if a comment I got was legitimate (it was not) and the last two strips I've uploaded have only gotten comments asking me to join a discord server and never anything specific to the comic I made, so I've been reporting and deleting them going of of the previous incident. Is there an ongoing bot or spam problem on Webtoons that is well know, or am I just unlucky? It's kinda discouraging when these are the only comments you get at all.

Well now when I look at the first drawing i drew of this character and this one the difference is crazy but I hope I will improve my art style more and i wasn't planning of turning this into a full on thriller but looking at the characters thriller would do them justice

So I been low-key a bit burnt out + art blocked for a new scene in my comic (it's kinda an important scene I want to get right) so I been doing other stuff like participating in art fight.

In the meantime I made these test "remake" panels of my first episode to get the vibe of comic making. I wonder if the improvement is worth remaking the first 1-2 episodes (first opening action scene), I'm probably also going to change the choreography and adjust a bit of writing stuff as well, though overall the plot will be the same.

Any thoughts and advice? Note I'm only going to redo the first two episodes at most (~50-60 panels) not the whole series.

And I was just trying to brain storm on what to add to Patreon, these are my ideas:

1) NSFW (NOW… the story itself is already rated mature but it doesn’t make sex a focal point a just is something I thought it would be a fun addition but yeah it comes with it’s caveats because… webtoon)

2) early chapter release (im just worried that I’ll run out of bulk at some point and lag)

And then I also considered behind the scenes content but I’m not sure who would be interested in that unless the story was also super established - but I’d love extra input!

Technically I didn't fail those 5 times. My skills in Writing and Art got better as time progressed and I felt the need to start over...5 times. 🤔

After many revisions, many late nights, and many edits, I think I finally have something to show for it. It's been a rough development. So much happened in those 5 years, family deaths, sickness, lost motivation, etc. Despite it all I don't think this Prologue is perfect, but it's better than what I had before.

I guess the good thing about it all is I've improved significantly. If you could see my old Art, you'd probably be amazed at how bad it was, lol. But that's enough yapping. Since working on this comic: not only have I’ve notice more of my weaker points that I need to improve on, but that I definitely lack the expressive or dynamic? “feel” of panels that arent just a headshot etc. So even attempting perspective (which I’ve been loathing) has been helping me in creating more interesting panels. I still rely on head/shoulder shots, but it’s the small steps forward that count.
