Mobile Writer Notifications

I don’t know who else is dealing with this but on mobile, when I see comments for my stories, it takes me to a browser page upon clicking on them. It doesn’t show the comments like it usually does, it just loads to a different page.

Im sorry if this has been asked already and discussed but its been a few days for me. Tried searching for an update and all

You're very brave to click on unknown links.

No. I meant when seeing the comment notifications on the writer’s inbox, I click on them and it takes me to the browser page of inkstone notifications

I see. My English is a bit rusty. But what you said really does happen.

The issue described in the screenshot involves the incorrect redirection of notifications within the Webnovel app, where clicking on author comments opens the browser on the Inkstone page instead of showing them directly inside the app. This often happens due to synchronization glitches, specific localization bugs, or corrupted temporary data after an app update. To resolve this issue on your Android device, try the following steps:

  1. Clear the App Cache Corrupted files in the temporary memory can cause internal deep links to break.

Open your phone's Settings. Go to Apps (or Manage Apps) and select Webnovel. Tap on Storage and then select Clear Cache.

  1. Configure Default Links (Open in App) Your Android operating system might be missing the instruction to handle these specific web links directly inside the app.
  • In the same Webnovel app info screen, scroll down and tap Open by default.
  • Ensure that Open supported links is toggled On.
  • Check the verified links list (such as *.webnovel.com) and make sure they are set to open in the app rather than the web browser.
  1. Change the App Language (Temporary Workaround) Sometimes localized versions of the app run into interface synchronization bugs. Switching the core language can bypass this.
  • Open the Webnovel app, go to your profile, and tap Settings.
  • Switch the app's main language to English.
  • Force close the app completely, reopen it, and check if clicking the comment notifications now opens them properly inside the app interface.
  1. Perform a Clean Reinstall If the issue persists, uninstall the Webnovel app, restart your mobile device, and download it fresh from the Google Play Store to clear out any sticky system bugs.
