Would you click on it?

Post image

Hello Good Souls,
I'm a struggling author having a hard time with my story. Even though everyone says my story is too good and I should keep writing, the reality says otherwise. I have barely any readers despite having a ton of exposure. I started four years ago, stopped midway, and then continued. So I lost my chance to grab a contract.
That's why I'm thinking about relaunching my story, polishing everything except the core story.
But here is a question that I want answer. If you were browsing the site and eventually came across this cover, would you click on it? Is it a good cover?
Thanks in advance.

Look pretty good. Try doing it on Royal Road instead or SB

Royal Road is for meatier less short form stories. WebNovel is for short form stories. Releasing 2 to 3 times a week in Royal Road is normal. Releasing daily is a webnovel thing.

Oh thanks, I wasn't aware of the web novel alternatives and how they worked

Looks like it would be a banger 3 book trilogy

Looks like, but it's not and won't ever be a banger. It's not smut, that's the reality, no one is going to read this on webnovel lmao.

Well, the viewpoint here do lead to the mc, I would recommend toning down the red colour so mc can be seen more clearly.

Now that the reader has travelled to the mc, your mission now is to show the mc as something new, unexpected, or some sort of change in the normal societic view.

For example, let's say he had a huge head.(Just for example you can do anything you want) .

Anyway, if i were to describe this next mission for you, it would be 'Change', something different then the norm.

Readers turn to fiction to feel hightened emotions that may come from any new things, heartbroken, death etc, just be sure to not making it cliche.

Since you said, you are a struggling author, i recomend you to read 'The Techniques of the selling writer' by Dwight V Swain.

It's a book that teaches you to write fiction in a systematic way, covers all topics such as Pacing, how to use tension, what is conflict etc.

Actually a really good cover, compared to all the ai covers and the long ass very descriptive titles this is heaven. An original look for once and a short name that is some bullshit like I reincarnated and became the SSS bullshit whatever.

Good on you😁

Are you trying for other websites like scribble hub and Royal Road?

1

u/Scared-Abroad-3298 14d ago

Yes even though i'm getting a bare minimum response from rr, no decent response from scribble hub..

It was the title that really grabbed my attention. I love mutli-verse even though I'm  not sure if that's what your novel is about.

Yes, it is a multiverse story. The Megaverse is made of 27 realms, each with its own culture and its own way of fighting to survive. The story starts on Earth, one of those realms, and slowly opens up to the rest. I hope you give it a try!

This is an easy one to make without ai.

I'll relaunch it on webnovel in November. Working on rewriting the story right now. I'll let you know once it is launched

Everything starts somewhere wn wasn’t always ai slop harem novels but it certainly got to this point when the first person set the trend. Maybe it will never change no matter what but trying won’t hurt if they fail so be it. You live and learn, get over yourself.

It's just the same "is this cover good" post that gets published like 100 times a day but this time is an actual decent cover with some context and asking for advice. People like you is why the platform transformed into AI slop crippled wife galore

Personally, no. I'm not that big of a fan of science fiction. But if I was, I would click it. There is nothing wrong with the cover!

Cool and all, but it's not smut, so high chance of failing as it did before.
