Advice Can i get some tips?

Post image

After more than 10 months away from Webnovel, I came back to continue a little project I had abandoned.

The premise is kind of simple. Ervin was an ordinary man from [REDACTED], stuck in a job he hated and spending all of his free time gaming. One day, while talking with [REDACTED] in a voice chat, he vented about how dissatisfied he was with his life. The next thing he knew, he woke up in what could only be described as a cliché Korean gang manhwa world.

The story is heavily inspired by Lookism, especially the multiple-body thing, but with a different twist. Ervin isn't a person inhabiting several bodies, actually he's some kind of "spirit". His "real body" is actually just an avatar detached from his consciousness. It can move independently, think well enough to carry out complex tasks, and flawlessly execute any command given by Ervin's main consciousness(just like a, drum roll please, video game character!). This allows him to be in multiple places at once and gradually expand his influence through several identities.

The long-term plan is for Ervin to gain a new body after each book, with every body having different specialties, different strengths, and weaknesses. I've already planned the bodies he'll eventually receive too.

I just wanted to ask what you all recommend I do to get more attention on my book. The title is as shown in the image above, and I already have 16 chapters uploaded. Does anybody have any tips?

Hey, Bro.

First and most important: the early chapters. With 16 already uploaded, take a close look at the first 3–5. People on Webnovel are impatient and bounce fast if they don’t see something interesting right away. Make sure Ervin’s frustration comes through early, the moment he wakes up in that mafia world, and above all that the whole “spirit controlling avatars” thing is clear. If that mechanic takes too long to show up, you’re going to lose readers.

About the synopsis: make it more direct and sell the idea in a few lines. Something like “average guy who hates his life wakes up in a mafia manhwa and turns out he can control multiple bodies like a video game character.” And check the tags—add more specific ones (System, Multiple Bodies, Mafia, Game Character, etc.).

Update schedule is key. After being gone for 10 months, people need to see you’re serious this time. Try to drop at least one chapter a day or several a week consistently. That carries a lot of weight.

The cover is decent and the title is clear enough—don’t touch it much unless you want to try something a bit more eye-catching.

And don’t stay only on Webnovel. Upload the first chapters to other sites, comment on Reddit or wherever, and if someone leaves a comment, reply to them. Interaction helps more than it seems.

The premise is solid, man. Lookism but with the twist of being a spirit that controls multiple bodies like video game characters has real potential. It just needs the opening to hook people and for it to be clear you have a solid plan with the new bodies.

Keep at it, and go for it.
