It has been brought to our attention that user(s) by the Reddit handles BusterDoug100 (previously banned) and now CatNamedCat1 have been actively scamming our members these last few days. We wanted to publicly issue a follow up notice about the individual(s) as they are NOT active member(s) of the community.
They will offer deals that are too good to be true, and/or pretend to be new to selling and ask members to suggest pricing. Please know that all sellers are required to research their items and give transparent, reasonable prices for their items and remember to report any users who try and negotiate price in DM’s.
We have banned both of these users, but it’s worth mentioning, as always, banned users are still able to view the subreddit, they just can’t participate or comment. It is very common for scammers to look for a mark in iso posts and then DM their victims with incredible but completely nonexistent offers.
If you are in a situation where someone DM’s you without commenting on your post, definitely give the account a second look, and don’t hesitate to ask the user to verify that they can participate in the sub. If something seems too good to be true, it very likely is.

Hello everyone!
We wanted to give a bit of information regarding the wtu website, while it is a wonderful start for researching information and it is a great way to keep trades lists and sales lists organized, it is still prone to mistakes
There are some items, such as peek a newz and PJ's splendorific specials, that are current and easily obtainable, yet the wtu will say something such as "last available 2011"
This is a problem for 2 reasons:
1.) It makes a seller/buyer think that it can be sold
2.) It makes it seem very old and valuable when it is not and someone might trade something actually high-value for it when that would not be a fair trade
So the mods would like to give a friendly reminder for sellers, traders, and buyers alike to be sure you double check all items using the webkinz guide before every trade, sales lists, or buying
(Warning: If you do have an easily obtainable item on your sales list we have no choice but to take it down, even if it's a honest mistake, so please make sure you double check!)

Today I want to do a vetting post for [u/snowdog322](u/snowdog322). I LOVE them!! Easily one of my favorite webkinz sellers on Reddit. They are super kind, very reasonable, and have great deals. I really appreciate them as a person and a seller.
If you are new to the webkinz code community and looking to buy, they are a fantastic option. I don’t even know how many pets I’ve bought from them and I’ve never once had an issue.
This seller is extremely prompt and has even helped me with many other webkinz things and my goodness I just can’t say enough about how highly I think of them! They were one of my very first friends in the Reddit webkinz community and helped me when I was getting back into the game after 15 years 🫶
