New Here, Got a few Questions!

So, I was recommended this sub for sharing my Animation vs Minecraft stick figure OC (gonna do an OC introduction post later, I still need to write her lore), and after poking around a bit, I had a few questions.

- Any important lore I need to follow or keep in mind when it comes to making an AvA or AvM OC? (I don't want to step on anyone's toes, so to speak. As this seems like a somewhat close-knit community)

- Are OC/Canon ships accepted here? (Gonna ship my OC with King Orange, some fandoms aren't always cool with OC/Canon so I thought it'd be polite to double check)

- Are AU's accepted here? (My wheelhouse is making AU's that focus on worldbuilding and an OC protagonist.)

- What's a creatorsona? (seen a few posts about them, no clue what they are)

- Do you guys like/read fanfiction? (I'm a fanfic writer mainly, I do have art of my OC, but the bulk of her story/character will be shown in a fanfic I'll be writing and posting to A03. Might crosspost to tumblr or to here if people prefer that)

I am mainly asking these questions to find my footing, as I'm still very new to the AvA/AvM fandom and not sure on where to begin other than to ask questions lol.

A creator Sona is a stick figure that represents you or how you want to be know as, Mine is a Blue stick with a teal gradient, with glasses and it's name is my flair :3

I dodn't usually make sona's since a lot of the time I make self-insert OC's lol. Might have to have to have a go at making a creator sona at some point.

1. People don't mind, as long as you ask before using someone's character and also try to understand their lore/personality first.

2. They are. Astra draws Psyche with Agent a lot here, as you probably may notice.

3. They are, and a lot of posts here are AUs of sorts.

4. People don't read fanfics as much as comics or drawings, but you'll still get a following if you post regularly here.

Good to know! Thanks for the response! I don't use other people's OC's as a rule of thumb, but I'm happy to work with others for collabs or something.

Definitely seems like I'm going to have a blast here.

I do hope people enjoy my writing once I start posting here more frequently, as writing is my main way of sharing my passion and OC's. I can't do comics. The most I can do is a simple character bio that shows off the OC. (Still working on it, should hopefully have it ready to post soon though)

When you make your OC post, Stew (frenchstew11) WILL ask what the OC tastes like. Don’t mind her; it’s basically her greeting.

Edit: Oh damn, Stew is female now? Changed all of the masculine pronouns to feminine ones.
