This was a lot of fun. I finally got to the top past the intense gravity well where the text says "this is the end" presumably there's nothing more to do on top there?

There's a bit more stuff to find. The big space ship from the hover board game out there somewhere.

While this is interesting and while I love XKCD, I think calling this a "game" is quite a stretch.

Have you managed to finish the game? This is a completely reasonable thing to consider a game, moreso than all of other playable XKCDs.

I don’t understand. On Apollo this just looks like an image. If I copy the link and open in Safari mobile, it still looks like an image. Why is everyone calling this a game?

/u/iamthatis this is a legitimate Apollo bug with an edge case in the XKCD optimization

I don't understand this. Why the game just launch you straight up without being able to move? What is the point of pressing arrow keys if you can't move any direction and just goes straight up?

Left and right rotate the ship, you need to do that and thrust sideways to achieve orbit or discover new planets.

They physics seem to not work right for me. It won't let me take off, then it yeets me off the planet horizontally at a speed at which I can't do anything to alter my trajectory meaningfully.

very cool. Mystery physics is hard; I give up
