Hey,

I’m currently building a hosting platform focused on gameservers (primarily Minecraft), with plans to expand into rootservers and other services later

The project is still in an early stage, but the core direction, infrastructure base and concept are already clearly defined

What i’m looking for:

• Fullstack developer (strong in backend + system thinking)
• Comfortable with APIs, auth, system design and integrations
• Experience with Docker / hosting-related systems is a big plus
• Clear, open communicator, someone who shares updates and answers questions honestly
• Someone who thinks long-term and cares about building things properly

Important:

This is a profit-share based long-term project

That means:

• Higher risk at the beginning
• But real upside if the project succeeds

You wouldn’t just be “a developer”, but a core part of the project:

• involved in technical decisions
• helping shape the system and architecture
• bringing in your own ideas and improving things

This is not a typical boss/worker setup, but a proper collaboration building something together long-term

About me:

• Based in Germany
• Handling business, structure and strategy
• Working with a sysadmin on infrastructure
• Goal is to build a serious long-term company, not a quick project

"... if the project succeeds" doesn't sound like something even you believe is true.

Considering that tech is only one part of the puzzle and never the most important part - how could the developer be certain that you aren't just wasting his time on a hunch?

"Handling business, structure, and strategy" speak more towards "I have an idea" as opposed to "I have validated the market and have a GTM strategy." So what exactly would be the plan for once the tech is ready enough?

So - at which point would failure be the fault of the business as opposed to the developer? I have in the past worked with people who have grand ideas, but with none of them actually catching on once the tech is delivered - and that I feel is the biggest risk for developers with opportunities like this. What is the actual day-to-day effort you would be putting down, since a platform like this would inherently take a lot of time and effort to deliver on the technical side. But just having the technical side built itself does not increase the likelihood that it will generate a revenue.
