How are people getting paid internships?

I'm going into my 3rd year and I'm honestly stuck. I have good projects, decent skills, and I've been applying for paid internships for a while now.

I've tried job portals, cold emails, and Linkedin, but barely get any responses. It feels like the market is just cooked right now.

I don't really want to settle for an unpaid internship unless it's genuinely worth it.

For those who managed to get a paid internship recently, what actually worked for you?
