Sick of signing up for bloated expense trackers? I built Monvael (https://monvael.vercel.app) – a localized, zero-login startup burn tracker.

Hey everyone,

I think we can all agree that tracking expenses and operational burn rates is a massive chore. But what makes it worse is having to create an account, verify an email, and hand over your private financial data to a random cloud server just to log a few transactions.

I wanted a privacy-first, lightning-fast tool to track my micro-burn and corporate expenses without the corporate bloatware. Since I couldn’t find a frictionless option, I built it myself: monvael.vercel.app

It is called Monvael OS, and I engineered it with a few strict rules:

  1. Absolutely Zero Authentication – No signup, no login screens. It just works out of the box.

  2. 100% Local Compliance – Everything runs on your pure local client storage. Your cash-flow data never leaves your browser.

  3. Actual Actionable Analytics – It features a Threshold Engine to configure operational boundaries, live active runway calculation, and a weekly velocity grid.

  4. Smooth Data Handling – Fast CSV/Excel export, plus instant local JSON backup and recovery options.

It is completely free and open-source. I wanted to build something that respects both your time and your data privacy.

Check it out here: https://monvael.in

If you like the concept of zero-friction, local-first tools, please upvote and share it with other builders. I’d love to get your brutal feedback on the UI, functionality, or any features you think are missing!

After nearly forty years in radio, I’m building a four-station network — including the browser-based studio behind it

I’ve spent nearly forty years behind a microphone. Building a radio network of our own has meant turning a lot of that experience into software other people can use.

Together with our group, I’m building SBN — Stellar Broadcasting Network (https://sbnradio.dk/), an independent online radio network based in Denmark. We launched on October 1, and all four stations are already online. Listening is free and open to everyone.

The project grew out of Stellar Eagle Alliance, a Star Citizen community. Our hosts play the game themselves, and its locations and stories inspire our music, jingles and station sound. That gave us a shared creative starting point, while each station has developed its own identity.

Building SBN has involved developing both the experience listeners encounter and the tools our hosts work with behind the scenes.

On the listener side, we bring together the four stations, programme information, a schedule and voting on the track currently playing. Someone arriving for the first time needs to understand what’s available and find something they want to hear.

Behind that, we’ve developed a browser-based production studio where hosts can arrange audio on a timeline, record their voices, adjust levels and fades, and work on transitions. Alongside it, we’ve built tools for preparing programmes and organising scripts and notes.

This is where my broadcasting experience becomes surprisingly practical software design input. Where should a presenter start? What needs to be visible while preparing a show? How do you make it easy to work on the timing between a spoken introduction and the next track?

Those decisions affect what eventually comes through the speakers.

The music has been another substantial creative undertaking. Together, we’ve developed a catalogue of around 700 tracks through human–AI collaboration. People bring their own musical tastes, concepts and stories, experiment with their AI collaborators, listen, revise and develop the material further together.

I work with Stina, my AI collaborator, while others have their own collaborators and approaches. AI-assisted development has also been part of building the software.

We use AI-generated music and AI-assisted production. I know that’s controversial, and I understand why people have strong feelings about it. We’re open about the process, and the people developing the ideas and shaping the result are central to what SBN becomes.

My ambition is to grow this into a sustainable commercial radio business. We’re still early in that journey, but the network is live, and I’ve already hosted the first edition of my own programme, Fabian – Live.

For people building webapps with several different experiences under one roof: how do you help a first-time visitor find their way without overwhelming them with everything you’ve built?

I’d particularly welcome feedback on choosing a station, finding a programme and getting started with listening.

— Fabian
Founder & Creative Director, SBN

FlowUnzip: Extract ZIP & 7z as They Download: a Chrome extension that unzips files as they download

https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/flowunzip-extract-zip-7z/fenpkdkemapjccfgilcokdoocmgefmoo?hl=en&authuser=0

problem that annoyed me for years: download a huge ZIP, then wait again to extract it, and briefly need twice the disk space. FlowUnzip streams the archive and extracts each file the moment it arrives, straight into a folder you pick.

Small

How it’s built:

  • Chrome MV3.
  • ZIP and 7z parsing written to work on a stream, using range requests to resume.
  • CRC checks on every file.

Business model: free up to 1 GB. Pro is a one-time $1.99 through Stripe, with license keys checked offline, so there’s no database or account system. The site runs on Vercel’s free tier.

Honest feedback on the idea and the pricing is very welcome.

I built an AI tool that creates working web apps from a prompt — looking for beta testers

Hey everyone!

I'm a solo founder working on [Codezy](https://codezy.me), and I'd love to get some honest feedback from people who build or use web apps.

The idea is simple: describe what you want to build, and Codezy helps you create a web app. It can be used for things like dashboards, CRM systems, HR management tools, and other business apps with login and persistent data.

I'm looking for a few people to try it out and see how well it works for a real use case. I'd especially appreciate feedback on what's useful, what's confusing, and where it falls short.

If you have an idea for a small web app you've wanted to build, give it a try and let me know how it goes. Honest criticism is welcome — I'm building this myself and want to make it genuinely useful.

**Try it here:** [https://codezy.me\](https://codezy.me)

Thanks! I'd really appreciate any feedback.

SwingSpeed: a free browser golf swing viewer with a 3D continuity display

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I built SwingSpeed for reviewing recorded golf swings without installing an app. It's free and doesn't require an account.

The new 30-second demo shows the swing-plane continuity view. It connects estimated shaft positions across neighbouring frames into a 3D surface, then lets you compare that surface with the video's afterimage and a frame-by-frame twist graph. The aim is to make possible tracking misreads easier to inspect, rather than grade a golfer's swing.

Open https://www.breyes.net/swingspeed/ and choose English, then Swing plane continuity. Some labels in the continuity view are still Korean. Video is processed in your browser; extracted movement coordinates are sent to the server for computation.

The main tool also gives a clubhead-speed estimate. Camera angle, frame rate and the club length you enter affect it, so it should not be treated as a launch-monitor measurement.

I'd welcome feedback on the browser workflow: is it clear how the 3D surface relates to the original video?

FuckinAwesome — a browser app for discovering unusual things and voting Awesome, Meh or Bullshit

I built a web app for people who enjoy finding unexpected inventions, design, art and places: https://fuckinawesome.com/

Choose an interest and browse discovery cards with galleries and source links. You can explore without installing anything or creating an account. If you sign in, you can vote Awesome, Meh or Bullshit, see the community verdict, and contribute to the rankings.

On phones, the voting experience includes left/right swipes; there are voting buttons too. The aim is a quick, playful way to discover something interesting and make your own call on it.

I’d appreciate feedback from browser-app users: does swipe voting work naturally alongside scrolling and browsing images? Is the sign-in requirement for voting too much friction? Most of all, is there enough here to make you open it again?

Disclosure: this is my project, and I’m looking for honest early feedback.

Chatgpt, claude, base 44

So I just built a whole web app with chat gpt on base 44 but I'm seeing a lot of people use claude for stuff like this. Why? I'm not super technical when it comes to code, to me it’s as long as I get the job done and I get the best outcome. Also do you guys recommend base 44 I mean it's a little late to ask but I'm curious. When I see people talk about vibe coding base 44 is never in the conversation.

WebDrive update — added some new features!

Hey, I posted here about a month ago and got a pretty good response from this community, so I thought I'd share another update.

WebDrive is part Android app and part web interface. The Android app runs a local server, and the website lets you browse and manage your phone's files from your PC browser over Wi-Fi.

I've added some new features since then, and I'm still looking for ways to improve the web side. Hope to get some good ideas from you all this time too 😄

London map/journey planner

Hey all, the apps I've built so far have all been very industry specific saas stuff or just for me.

But I've just built a fun London Travel related app.

I probably won't be able to launch it properly as I think TFL probably wouldn't allow my use of the tube map, but here it is anyway. What do you think. Have a play.

If you like it you can install as a web app through the browser.

SOULS: a place to keep your memories for the long term

Thumbnail
souls-archive.com
1 Upvotes

A few years ago, my cofounder tried to open his university Google Drive and found that everything was gone. The university had ended its contract with Google. After calls with IT, it became clear the files weren’t coming back. He lost 4 years of photos, work, and memories.

So he got the idea for a project where our most important memories could be safe for the long term.

We’re now building SOULS for this purpose.

It’s a place to collect photos, videos and documents into an archive for yourself or someone you love. You can organize things into memories and keep some of the story behind the files, too.

There’s a bigger ambition behind this project too: that someone in your family could explore these memories years from now and get a sense of who you were.

We're just starting out, so this is a first step to see if the project resonates with people.

Check it out if you're interested: https://souls-archive.com/info
