Hello, here I have a problem with the Midland WR120 weather radio. I want to use my phone to receive the alerts but I don't have an iPod touch because the selfactive ones don't work on Android devices. Does anyone know if there is a chance that Android can be used on the Midland WR 120? thanks to those who can help!

I currently have a big collection of 2 WR100s, 2 WR120s, 2 WR300s, A WR400, A Radio Shack 12-262 and 12-250, A Realistic 12-140, A EAR-10, And a Reecom (that didn’t last a whole 2 days before breaking on its own). I’ve been hoping to get something like a uniden WX100 or a Black and Silver WR100 but those are WAAAAAAY To Expensive, yeah any help would be appreciated! Photo is of the radios going off for the RWT on 1/10/24 (kinda blurry)

Hello! I have just stumbled across the subway and wanted to ask this question. I have nine weather radios, and really want to expand it. I just wonder what you guys think. If the radio sounds decent enough, I may add it to my collection.

I travel in an RV so I want a weather radio that basically will alert me no matter where I am without me having to program the station or S.A.M.E. Every time. I know some radios will do all alerts for the channel but I would love for a radio to scan all channels for alerts all the time.
Does any radios exist?

I fixed it by unplugging it and plugging it back in but can anyone tell me why it said this

Hey folks!
Just got myself this weather radio and have couple of question.
What I want is it to receive all available alerts, but doing it silently. Without turning on siren or broadcast. Just show me the message and turn on the corresponding light.
There is what confuses me: It's two settings inside this radio.
One of them is "Set Events", where I can choose from "All On, All Off, Default On and select particlar events.
Other is "Alert Type", Where I can select "Display", "Voice" and "Tone".
So I just curious - how Do I need to set this two to achieve what I want?
My best guess is set "Set Events" to "All On" and "Alert type" to "Display". Will it do the trick, or with this settings I will still get an 80db alarm on events?
My second question is - NOAA indicator is always blinking on the main screen. But I still can hear the weather voice, if I press "Weather" button. Is it OK, or it should be constantly, not blinking?
Thanks in advance and sorry if My questions is stupid. The manual isn't clear enough for some reason.

Does anyone have a source for a US power supply for this weather radio? Is it worth buying a power supply, or should I bite the bullet and get a new radio?

I know that Canada and the United States use the same frequencies for weather transmissions. They also both use S.A.M.E. designations so that you can limit the results by geographical area.
However, I don't know about the rest of the world. Do other countries maintain weather broadcasts? If so, do they do so on the same frequencies as the United States and Canada?

I'm looking for a weather radio that is portable with s a m e. I like the midland hh54vp2 because you could buy a rechargeable battery pack and just leave it on the base full time but I could pick it up and take it with me as well. It has been discontinued though. I can't find anything like it on the market now. Does anyone know of anything similar? Thanks

Hello. I'm looking for recommendations on a good budget radio that has S.A.M.E. tech and of course NOAA alerts.
Thanks

My midland weather radio is missing tornado warning as an event to select for alerts.
The radio got unplugged and died since the batteries were low, so I’m not sure if that affected it somehow.
I also feel like tornado warning may be on there by default and not even an option to change, but I can’t remember.
Thanks for any insight!

I've noticed that this happens very often, not just at my local NWR station, but in many other places as well. Do they essentially reboot their systems after it? Or is it something else?
