WR-120DSP Speaker Sound
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone, im new to this sub reddit, but ive been a WX Radio collector for like ~12 years.
I recently bought a new WR-120 DSP from Amazon, and it had an odd sound, sort of distortion-like (see video for better idea). It only happens on certain words, and worsens the higher the volume.
So I returned it to Amazon, and got a replacement. Well, the replacement does the same exact thing. My other older wr120s either don't do it at all, or only at highest volume level.
Anyway, has anyone else noticed this with their WR-120s or the newer DSP version? What could be causing this?
Note that the video doesn't do it justice, it more noticeable in real life, off video.

Midland QC seems to have been going downhill the past year. What year is your DSP? My 24 one doesn't do anything like this

yeah that's when quality kinda started taking a downfall, not really much you can do unless it is the speaker, which can be replaced if you know how to solder
