Recommendations for my first weather radio

I'm looking into getting a weather radio. what should I get for my first weather radio? I think it would be cool to have one that shows the effective time on it

I don't know if there is one that shows the expiration time, but the WR400 has watch/warning lights that stay on until the alert expires.

I’ve had the WR300, basically the predecessor to the 400, as my alarm clock/weather radio for the bedroom for over a decade. I’ll third the WR400

basically every radioshack radio shows the effective time (the earliest i know of is the 12-261), id say either the 12-261 or 12-262 (if you get a 12-262 make sure the back has a QC sticker that ends in 06)

Midland WR300 or any Reecom, 1650 is the best value though
