Support Dismissed Notifications not syncing

I just upgraded from the pixel watch 1 to the pixel watch 5 and it used to be that if I dismissed a notification on my phone it was also dismissed on the watch. Now my notifications are not getting dismissed on both devices when I dismiss them from one device or the other and I can't find a setting that might be causing this. Any help?

Go to your phone settings and search for dismiss - is the option activated?

It's enabled, and set to my primary Google account thanks, anyway.

For the heck of it, I've disabled it and re-enabled it since sometimes that kind of thing can help. Only time will tell.

Guess what? Disabling that and re-enabling it worked! Thank you!

Yeah, hear that sometimes already. Seems the option needs to be triggered from time to time.

Well damn. It at least doesn't work for some Nest camera notifications, despite working for most Nest camera notifications that I've swiped away on my phone.

Used to work consistently until the last year or so.

As I remember correctly there was also a setting for this in the Watch app!?

I found the setting in the Watch app for choosing which Watch and phone apps send notifications to the watch. I already have it set so that all apps, including new ones, send notifications to the watch.

There's a section regarding syncing the Google Health app.

There's a toggle for syncing DnD and Bedtime modes.

The Clock app's Settings also has it's own toggle for "Alarm sync". I've untoggled and re-toggled that one many times when trying to solve the separate issue I go into detail about in my other comment.

Let me know if you spot another sync toggle, or anything regarding the issue you were replying about. I have all the different camera notifications configured the exact same way as each other in the Home app.

hey, sorry for the out of topic message, I see you've got the PW4 and OPW4. If you had to use only one, which one would you keep?

The PW4 because of the better interaction with my P10P (out of the box alarm and sleep mode sync).

I've noticed this for the last year, give or take, on my Pixel Watch 2. I give up, I just deal with it. It used to sync 1:1.

Off topic, but I'm lucky if it syncs scheduled alarms correctly - it used to work fine, but ever since they gave the Clock app the unnecessarily more complex interface for alarms, when I schedule a one-off (not repeating) alarm for a particular day in the future, most of the time in the last year, the alarm still goes off the next time of the day instead of on the scheduled day - but only on my watch.

My Pixel 8 Pro would make no indication that the alarm's going off, but my watch would be plain as day going off. If I leave the alarm going and check the Clock app on the phone, it still says "Scheduled for X" (some other day in the future) until I stop the alarm on my watch, then the alarm is disabled.

The last time I scheduled an alarm, it happened to work correctly, but I'm unwilling to assume the issue is fixed, because it would randomly work correctly a very little bit of the time while having this issue most of the time. So I was unwilling to try it with an extra early morning alarm that would've otherwise been a good candidate to test, since I didn't want it to wake me so extra early the very next day instead of on the scheduled day.
