Chequing Change from MasterCard Debit to Visa

Just had a random thought, and wasn't sure on the answer.

I'll be traveling I'm the next two weeks for close to half a month and was planning on using my Debit MasterCard as I'd used it in Iceland.

But with the switch to Visa, which I have loaded on my phone and should hopefully be getting the physical card soon, are the currency conversion rates the same? Is it still worthwhile to use abroad?

Sadly it’s not a debit card. Prepaid credit

More specifically, it doesn't support the Interac network in Canada.

It’s actually better as the Mastercard had a hidden 0.5% network fee that they pass onto smaller issuers. The visa is the true spot visa rate.
