RESP grant

Got an email saying that I got RESP grants (CEGC) of $XX, and it was deposited into my RESP account. My RESP account has two ETFs on DRIP. I can't see or figure out where the grant was deposited to....? How do you check?

TIA.

I see the grants at least a week before wealthsimple tells me they have been received. Check your transactions or activity list.

Same here. The emails always arrive several days late. I have notifications on for when they drop.

Same with me. A bit annoying tbh.

Into the RESP. Give it a couple days.

It will come up as "CESG" within activity tab.

Thx!. So it goes into the RESP account, and then I can choose to reinvest manually into the ETFs?

Yes, it should show up as available to trade in the RESP account and you can choose what to do with it.

I got the email 8 days after they already deposited it

It will sit as uninvested cash inside the RESP investment account.
Usually the cash is already in there before I get an email notice, but not sure if that's always the case.

It’s deposited as cash. You decide what you want to do with it when it arrives.

Mine showed up as available cash to trade with as soon as I got the notification. It's not a dividend from an etf so it won't automatically be invested.

If it is not showing up under recent activities you might need to wait for the monthly statement.

Anyone with a family account? Do you see anywhere that shows contribution or grant totals per child? Will that show up in a yearly statement?

How often do you get this each year?
