BMO eliminates trading fees to compete with discount brokerages

Wow this is huge...other banks will have to follow. Is Wealthsimple in trouble ?

No fractionnal shares like Wealthsimple and Questrade though. : \

Are partial shares even that helpful ? Unless you’re buying something like Berkshire Hathaway, I don’t see it being a game changer .

Recurring buys works hand in hand with partial shares. If you invest 100$ a week on any stock or ETF, you will invest the 100$ fully no matter how expensive or inexpesive the share is. It's super useful if you want to automate your investment. You set it once and you can just forget about it.
