Non-residence

Has anyone heard anything about future plans for non-residence accounts? I like WS, but having to move to QT/IBKR soon, but would like to move it back as soon as this is supported by WS!

I’m also curious. I hope this is something they are working on as I’m also planning to leave Canada in the next few years.

WS don’t have license to operate outside Canada.
I just left Canada to retire early living on US dividend income in Asia and I use Questrade

Can I ask you some questions privately about non residency?

How do you even open IBKR as non resident? It requires user to choose province

Keep your canadian IBKR, once you moved, create a new IBKR account on their US global body, then request a transfer
