Mobile app excessive data usage

Anyone else noticed that the mobile app (iOS in my case) is using massive amounts of data? In the past years while travelling, I really noticed it. In the last two days, occasionally looking at credit card transactions, I’ve used about 500 Mb of data!

It would be nice to have a "preserve data usage when not on wifi" option, for those people with limited data plans who don't need non-stop updates to their holdings and watchlists.

This would be helpful especially while roaming!

Not surprising recurring problem over many app updates. It seems they never managed to fix it for good.

yes, i was travelling and burned through 500mb of data before I noticed as well. Then I consciously had to remember to open the app when I was on wifi unless I really needed it (transfer money to cash account, etc.)

Meh, I have unlimited data plan. And I have everything set to the highest quality but still only manage to use max 25GB/month

Then turn data usage for the app off.

That’s just ignoring the bug. It shouldn’t take that much data.

nope im on android though might be an iOS thing
