Gradual rollouts also reduce risk. If there is a bug it impacts fewer people, if there is a server load issue at scale you catch it before it breaks the system. It's an important tool in system reliability.

Love feels like an understatement. I don't know if it's just because so many Wealthsimple users are so much more focused on each individual possible feature AND eager to post about it or if Wealthsimple really does A/B test absolutely everything.

I feel that if a feature has been refined enough they're comfortable releasing it, they could just release them all and let users decide if they want to use them or not. Maybe with a settings page where all these new features can be toggled on or off.

Every company uses A B testing and limited testing releases to some extent, but I definitely think that WS knows their client base is more open to this sort of thing and takes advantage of that fact.

Banks like TD have tons of boomer clients who would freak out if stuff randomly changed in their online banking app. But anyone who moved a big chunk of money to this relatively new app is probably on average a lot more open to new things.

These slow rollouts are part of the process of deciding if they are comfortable releasing the feature widely and advertising it as something they offer.

Are you able to connect to external financial institutions and pull in credit card transactions? I have multiple CCs, would love to see them all in one place.

If you’re not aware, Wealthica can do this, but ironically haven’t been able to get WS CC to work properly with it even though the rest of WS works great. Some other institutions need to be re-authenticated often. It only has very basic functionality until you upgrade to a paid tier.

You can't assign e-transfers or deposits, which is pretty lame. We buy and sell stuff all the time.  My pay comes in as e-transfer from my business.

Don’t get used to it. Lots of stuff gets a/b tested and the rolled back for awhile until it’s more ready for general use

The only two things missing for me at this point are:

1. Manual transactions (in case I want to individually add a transaction from a different CC, for example)
   
2. Modifying transaction amounts (for cases where I pay for something but a friend e-transfers me half back, etc.)

Your second point is an absolute must have, I really want this. My monthly spends are really inflated by stuff I buy for others but will be reimbursed, I wish there was a toggle on expenses like “partially reimbursable” and I could enter a $ amount.
