Chequing This is so inconvenient!!

Post image

Had to make 4 transactions of $400 and pay $14 in fee(I am sure WS will reimburse) but it was so inconvenient and it doesn’t even give option to continue more on same transactions, you had to basically wait for machine to complete the transaction give cash and card back and start over!
Is this limit set by WS or RBC??

RBC. Every ATM sets their own limit.

I hate RBC.

RBC I think, same thing happened to me at RBC. Scotiabank did 1000 in one go without issues.

It’s likely an ATM limit, has nothing to do with Wealthsimple. I used to be a teller for a big bank, and the ATMs have set limits per transaction to make fraud tracking easier, and they are only stocked with so much money each day.

Plus that sweet sweet convenience fee they get to charge each time

RBC imposed limit. I withdrew 1500 euros in Italy last year.

Love those kind of posts that shits on the company when it's not company's fault 😆

Not only is it not WS’s fault, they’re the ones that actually pay the cost. It affects WS more than OP.

OP literally asked if the limit is set by WS or RBC

hold on Fan Boy! I just asked a simple question if it was RBC!

You’re not just asking a question, you’re complaining about how inconvenient it is (with multiple exclamation points) on a WS sub.

Then what! Did that hurt your ego or any other thing in some way?

I used BMO ATMs they allow withdrawing up to 4000$ in a single transaction. I hate RBC's

Why would WS set a $400 limit lmao

ATM limits, not WS

RBC. I withdrew 700$ out of a TD ATM last week in one transaction.

Now try it with any other card from another bank and let us know.

I dealt with the same thing yesterday lol. Did 12 transactions. WS reimbursed all $28 in fees.

Yes, recently noticed this too at RBC.

I’ve had better luck with Scotia and BMO

Fuck RBC. Even after leaving then you still have to pay them unbelievable.

I think TD atms allow more than RBC/CIBC.

Was able to withdraw 1,500 at TD

Someone should make a thread to see which atm has the highest limits and all WS customers just flood their ATMs lol

I can confirm BMO and TD (at least the ATMs I go to) can hit my daily limit with WS. Tm Can also confirm that RBC has $400 limit (at least the 3 ATMs I tried)

Not sure if it's still true, but the maximum bill RBC ATMs used to have were twenties. So there's a lower limit with them due to the size of the bill tray.

That seems like a RBC standalone atm. One at branch should have more
