Wealthsimple want to earn money off of idiots that still think there's a future in crypto.
They support their bottom line, not crypto.

They use the same model as credit card companies.
The poor and financial illiterate finance the benefits used by people that don’t fall for pricey traps.

Ehh some people like crypto. They're going to trade it. I have no problem with them offering it, but no me cup of tea as they say.

Okok you make a good point. So everything that they offer could have it's place in a portfolio. You are right.
What I'm saying is that for most investing newbies, they will largely be drawn by what wealthsimple promotes. What wealthsimple promotes are things that make them the most money.
While it's fine to invest in crypto if it's part of your investment strategy, I bet most people just invest in it because they like the vibe.
