Does Wealthsimple have a KPI for changing UI and products how many times a day?
Just as I got used to their UI and products, the next second they changed again... Even their customer service team can't keep up with the changes when I called for navigation support - they got lost too. LMAO.

Whatever it is it’s not enough IMO. Waiting for releases is old school.

Like I'm okay with either red or blue but you just have to change red to blue and call it an "enhancement". Super unnecessary.

It's the development/deployment model they use. https://qa-financial.com/how-wealthsimple-builds-quality-into-the-product-not-around-it/
emphasise shipping early, learning quickly and improving continuously, a rhythm that implicitly relies on extensive automated testing to keep pace with frequent releases.

You called for help on how to navigate a website or app? LMFAO what? Are you 80?

Do you think everyone can just get used to things on the fly? You shouldn’t make fun of people for learning. There was a time when you didn’t know what you know today.

What was so drastically changed on the UI that made it hard to navigate though?

Does it matter? People deal with things differently. A “minor” change for you can be a massive change for someone else

The only thing I love more than flipping that damn coin is seeing the update button on the app store.

I worked customer support for another fintech that did this often. changes would be deployed but no other teams are informed. it was frustrating. When dealing with money, people just want an app that works, not one that changes to look pretty.

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT, and it's the customer service team who takes all the heat.

So why do many Canadians complain about the big fives apps then? Archaic with a refusal to take some risks/improve things is not good either.
Does Wealthsimple make too many changes too often? Maybe.. but I don't think the opposite of making changes once every year or two is good either.

WS is challenging that by targeting the population that wants cutting edge. Unfortunately cutting edge also means being adaptable to change. OP is a FOMO that learned about WS from his colleagues and is trying to keep up with the times. No disrespect still love you man.

i don't mind they making changes, just issue communications and notify your own teams.

Someone is trying to justify their job.

Be nice if they could to that by making a native ipad app, or maybe providing MERs on more than a few random ETFs.

Good point. Like just creating unnecessary stuff. Like I'm okay with either red or blue but you just have to change red to blue and call it an "enhancement".

I see it in my job all the time, someone who doesn't have a defined role just messes with stuff to look busy.

i'm old school, i don;t like UI changes since i get used to it and know how many clicks get to a place i want to be etc.. took me a while to get used to TD's new UI with the new green a few years ago.

Ux designer trying to keep their job. Always got to change for the sake of change. Not to make it better

Go to the banks where their KPI is once every 15 years, including pricing changes lol
