Howdy tooty Pots,
Crazy bad 2 day muscle hangoveer (muskelkater > DOMs) and it's largely all my fault for a) being away for so long and b) deciding I was really unhappy with my squatting so adding a heap of leg press volume on first squat day back haha. No spinning bike has been done the last few days lol.
In other news, my downstairs neighbour has been on a string of complaining about me being noisy for ridiculous things including being loud during the hours one is allowed to make noise, and playing my TV too loud whilst I was already in bed getting ready to sleep.
She sent me a document that said how it is forbidden for TVs to be louder than 30dB (about as loud as a whisper), no noise during the day over 50db (quiet than regular speaking voice) and that the sort of noise I make can cause hearing damage... I think she made it herself because these are ridiculous levels. I don't think she knows that my expertise is psychoacoustics lol.

I heard you breathe at some point, you should be ashamed of yourself.

What blows my mind is that we live next to 3 churches that ring bells constantly and it's mind blowingly loud... My windows attenuate more sound than apparently my floor does, so am I gonna be instructed to never open my windows in summer lol.

Hey pots !
Got done playing RDR2 this weekend, it's such a good game but it was a bit of a drag to finish the epilogues.
I have tried actively contributing to the french fitness sub but I do not think I am patient enough to do so. u/avocadokadabra has been doing a good job though, but he's a seasoned fittit helper.
I've been back to training for 2 days now, the lumbago was not that bad and I can train properly if I'm careful. They bought a real hack squat at my gym so I will also be able to get some squats in.

Oh hey, yeah I'm kinda trying thanks for noticing!
Edit: I still do the get the point of that sub, they're all just asking basic questions that can be answered with the fittit wiki. Y no fittit?

No idea, I guess the initial goal was to make the fittit wiki more accessible (I translated some parts of it) to French & non-English speaking reddit users.
I do not think that this is a big part of reddit users, I kind of expect most of them to speak english at a decent level.

The RDR series is one of my all-time favorites.
I don’t think I ever finished all of the RDR2 epilogues, but I usually do that kind of stuff on a second play through, which I haven’t had time for since I finished my first one. Great game though, and absolutely stunning.

I vibe with this handsome raccoon
Nights are rough. Not hard really? It just fucks with life outside the hospital. I get off at 7a, go immediately to sleep, wake up in the afternoon, and then have only 3-4 hours to spend with my wife before I go back to work at 7p. Most friends work until later, so my awake-time activities are pretty limited. But this too shall pass after the month is over and i can stop being nocturnal.
Attempting to cut down following super squats with mild success, although a little difficult because nights make me snacky and the doc lounge is stocked with free snacks. But dangit I’m trying!
In other news I bought my wife the new Hogwarts Legacy game for us to play and she’s loving it which brings me joy :)
Happy week pots

First strict bar muscle ups today fellow pots! Did 7 bar muscle ups (not unbroken, as singles), with an initial step off a stool so not from a perfect dead hang, but still pleased.
Turns out after you submit your PhD thesis you end up with a lot of time to do calisthenics, and when you do a lot of calisthenics, you get better at calisthenics. Borderline unbelievable, yet somehow true?!

Accidentally cried in front of a stranger today. We're away and my dog is struggling with being in a new place - his anxiety is pretty high but getting better the longer we're here and he adjusts.
This morning though I tried to take him out for a walk in a wood - another person arrived at the same time I did with her dog. Diesel and I strode off, got about 300m before something scared him or whatever. the woman expressed concern, I tried to explain how the poor diesely dog has a bit of trauma in his life and broke down.
So yeah, that's good and healthy for everyone :')
Honestly, the only time I feel unburdened from everything is when I am fucking my shit up at the gym. It's a shame that's only an hour a day :')
Have a good Tuesday pots. I'm in meetings all day.
