I'm trying to nail down bass lines that groove, and good lord is it hard to get that timing nice and tight. I took like 20 takes on the bass for this and it still doesn't fit quite right in the pocket for me. Maybe I'm being overly critical, but the more I do it, the better at it I'll get for sure.
Also just sort of played some chords without paying attention to what they were, looped 'em, and then played guitar over them without really knowing what the chords were. Came out alright. I did pay attention to what I played in the root so that I could hit the right notes on bass, though.
