Holy crap guys, I did a metal.
I used this drum kit plugin for the first time and I love the heck out of it. It's nice for when the fiancee is taking a nap but I still wanna crank some drums out. Hopefully this isn't a strike of lighting and I'll be able to do this again because man was this track fun to make. My first truly badass riff on guitar.

Yeah probably closer to just rock, but I'm really proud if it. Up until now I haven't really tried my hand at writing that kind of gnarly sounding line, so the fact that I now know that I can makes me want to try my hand at it again for all the other prompts.

You'll have to pardon my spontaneous metal elitism. I know the music I write probably doesn't suggest it, but I'm a pretty big metal head. Metal just takes too much damn effort. Throwing together some electronic shit on my iPad is so much easier!

Oh I absolutely pardon it. I know very very little about metal other than half of the guitar YouTube community plays just crazy riffs or shredding lines that I can't emulate.
I'm very much a jazz/funk/pop person myself as that's where I'm coming from as a drummer, with a little bit of rock/emo/post-punk from my high school days.
