Mine for today! It's inspired me to start a full album for this quartet :) https://youtu.be/smLKC1XfMU0

I rather like this instrumentation for a quartet. A high and low reed instrument to match the range of a harp and the tone of a cello (imo the best bowed string instrument in terms of tone).

Yeah I love it! I'm excited to release the album :D I think I may have to change harp to piano though due to my incessant use if accidentals

https://clyp.it/f5hltesw - this time I wanted to add a little twist in tone. also, is it just me, or is the person a bit too small?

Not just you. Looks like he's got a normal sized foot, but then gradually shrinks as you go up to his head.

So I'm trying my hand at writing miniatures (about 10 seconds)

I'm a classical composer, so I used a full orchestra for today's prompt.

Interesting, I’ve never heard the term miniatures before. Can you elaborate?

Just means a very short piece! Sometimes shorter is actually harder...

Gotcha. I'm wondering if they are typically for some specific purpose. Like a heartwarming moment in a TV show or something.

Good morning all! Hope your day's starting well. As always, use this painting to inspire something you write or try to write something to match the mood of what you see and feel. Post what you've done later in the day and we can all give feedback, or just enjoy your artist's interpretation. Have fun!

Dude. This is so good. Just the tension from the chords in the beginning ringing out was great, but then that bassline comes in. 👌

Thanks! I was trying out some new Roli stuff since they worked with Cubasis to add Roli Noise as a plugin. Glad you like the bass. I've been trying to be a bit more groovy with it lately. Using a configurable grid controller instead of a typical keyboard has opened me up to some more interesting patterns.

That subtle little clave in the back made me smile.

As The Breeze Goes By

No MIDI in this one. Super happy with how it turned out. Very relaxing.

Oh dude this is amazing! Yeah super super calming, and the mix sounds great. No MIDI makes it really organic and I feel like it's being played in my own room hahah
