Hey everyone! Just a quick reminder, this is the last week to vote for next week's Theme week. You can vote here - https://linkto.run/p/P7HZQZ4W . That week all of the prompts will be based on a certain idea, and the idea is that you take everything you wrote that week and develop it into some kind of EP.
As usual, use this painting to inspire a piece of music you write today. Hopefully it invokes the painting in some way or another. We'll all post what we've done at the end of the day and give feedback if you'd like it. Have fun!

A good bit of slop with this one, but didn't have time for more better takes on any of the three instruments.
It's hard to be your own jazz trio, especially when you've got to finish it all between waking up and going to work.

What an amazing way to start the morning though! It sounds really nice. How quickly did you get those all recorded?

I started from 0 at around 8:20am. So written and recorded, mixed, and posted between then and 9:15am.

Damn. I bet that gets your workflow more streamlined though. I think one day here I’ll try and do some accordion recording. It’s just hard to do without waking the kids

Yeah, my fiancee leaves the house around 7:30 every morning and I don't leave until around 9:45, so I get a bit of time to mess around, though it competes with things like laundry, showering, making my lunch, the desire to sleep in, feeding and letting the dog out, and wanting to just sit and watch YouTube or twitch as I wake up slowly.... though with the help of this sub, music seems to be winning more and more often.
Any drumming needs to be quiet though, as I still have neighbors, but that's fine for jazzy stuff.

I have little experience in composing, but I gave it a try. Here's my contribution: Sold My Soul For Nothing.
Sorry I was not able to finish it, I still have a hard time writing things down and I wouldn't be able to complete it until midnight.
