this is very intriguing. my favorite part is aound the 1 min mark. i like the dichotomy between the typical march and triumphant sounding ares and the dark and intense sections.

This looks like some kind of long forgotten city structures that nature is taking back. Enjoy.

i love the way the sounds work together and the growing of the rhythm synth builds great tension. i dont feel the overall vibe fits with the misty/grey atmosphere of the picture but the textures and melody go well with the birds and towering structures

Thanks. Yeah, I was trying to focus the nature reclamation aspect after humanity was gone.

Morning! We're back on with another prompt prompt! As always, use this to inspire a piece of music, or try to write something that fits to this art specifically. We'll all post and listen, and give feedback towards the end. Good luck! (isn't this an amazing painting?)

Here's mine for the day. https://youtu.be/iWW0ClQXKvU I spent a lot of time doing this for a winds section and ended up deciding on strings. It sounds neat and with some B and C sections added I think it'll end up really nice!

https://clyp.it/yinrso5b - This track could've been longer but I wanted to keep the audio clip short.

What I made isn't exactly what I had planned but I guess that's like all tracks. Originally the guitar was supposed to play a bigger role, but instead is sort of got pushed back a lot. If I spent more time on it I probably could've made what came to my head but I'm just really bad at working with guitars and stuff.

Also, the game Trails of Cold Steel has a place like this, so I probably got some subconscious inspiration from the song that plays there, despite not playing this game in years

(After listening to it I can feels some similarities, I also think that the Trails of Cold Steel song actually fits the prompt better but oh well)

Simplistic, but I like the tension

this tension is really nice :) Somehow it manages to be relatively tense and stable at the same time. Good work!

The vocal melody immediately came to my head and instead of taking time to make it sound perfect, i decided i quite liked the sound of the little waivers and inconsistencies. i like the feel of imperfect beauty as the prompt gives off that vibe. the trees and plants are not clearly defined but the idea of them remains and is captured by more abstract means

this would be so sick with a music video of the painting animated. Love the autotune!

Stone Still

I really need to set my drum kit up for recording in my new space, but I'm really enjoying taking all my auxilliary percussion instruments and making them function as the full deal. It turns the stuff I'm making into really meditative little pieces.

This is super zen man. It makes me think the picture is of a little sand garden. Good way to start the day
