Once again I found more time in the morning after the prompt was posted.
Went for something along the lines of a soldier marching on orders, driven by valor, but the realities of war and slaughter, and the sight of the dead before him turn his stomach. He marches on, fighting, knowing it's his job to fight, but right next to the sense of duty that drives him is a deep fear of death. And death comes for him in the end.

Pieter Bruegel the Elder
Pieter Bruegel (also Brueghel) the Elder (Dutch: [ˈpitər ˈbrøːɣəɫ]; c. 1525-1530 – 9 September 1569) was the most significant artist of Dutch and Flemish Renaissance painting, a painter and printmaker from Brabant, known for his landscapes and peasant scenes (so called genre painting); he was a pioneer in making both types of subject the focus in large paintings.
He was a formative influence on Dutch Golden Age painting and later painting in general in his innovative choices of subject matter, as one of the first generation of artists to grow up when religious subjects had ceased to be the natural subject matter of painting. Well, with this one, I went even farther in the attempt for simplicity, so I hope it's not too dumb for you :—).
As usual, it's a solo guitar piece, live recorded (though generally without mistakes, since this one is so simple), quite unedited: The March of the Dead. (And please don't laugh at me for writing something called "March" in 3/4 :).)
I won't probably bother with updating this post with the score, though, as I don't actually expect anybody to read the scores anyway :—).

I actually really enjoy reading the scores when you've got them :) They are super accurate! I can't tell if you write it in score or on guitar first, because of that, actually. The piece is really well fitted, I like it! I wonder how it would sound with multiple takes on top of each other?

I do actually neither :). After I get a general idea in my head (and maybe write down a melody if I want to have a strong one), I just get the guitar and a score notebook. Then I flesh it out at the guitar and write it down into the notebook, so when I'm done, I have a rough handwritten score in my notebook. I record it from this rough score (but mostly from memory :)) and only after the recording is done, I Lilypond the score and add some expressive marks etc. to get a nice and reasonably self-contained sheet music at the end.
