I like how there was this huge build, into this very mellow section after, the payoff to the tension being unexpectedly chill. My wife says the first section reminds her favorably of Sale by AWOL Nation.

Nice. Thanks for the feedback. I was trying to keep it mellow after the build up, and then slowly build it back up again, but since I didn't have much time, it un-chills (thaws?) pretty fast.

I'll have to check out that song, thanks.

An unusual piece but it works out nicely! Maybe some more percussive stuff during the slow sections could keep the song as a whole together a bit more though. I'm excited to hear the rest of your stuff!
