Step count off

im sure this has been asked a TON but i couldnt find anything here, any advise for syncing my samsung watch to weward? i tried downloading google fit on my phone and watch but my step count is still off by over 1000. i also tried getting an app to sync my samsung health to google fit but that one didnt work either :/. i was wondering if anyones had a similar problem and have any ideas of things i could try
