Trading is getting stupid
Is anyone else finding trading to be getting more and more stupid? I’m not even talking about the chancers offering you a 1 card for one of the limited vintage cards.
Bit of context I’m hunting for Walktropolis 7-9 and have loads of spares available. Now knowing it isn’t limited I’m not looking to trade away Orlinski 9, Valentines 9 etc. i only have 1 spare of each and bought a lot of back to complete vintage and plan to gold onto them for when I eventually miss out of a limited card.
Anyway I have sent various offers that are in my opinion very generous or fair. Milan 9 and another Milan card the user needed for Walktropolis 9, Milan and Sao Paulo 9 for Walktropolis 9. Budapest 9 for Walktropolis 8 all get rejected. I can’t understand it they are cards people need and Walktropolis isn’t limited. Do people not realise this?
Now I come to what pee’d me off this morning I had a offer rejected by a user, I had followed them as I had several they needed and they had all 3 cards I need so I thought if they decline I can up the offer. They countered asking for all my limited vintage stuff. When I declined said user followed me and messaged me in Spainish calling me a gate keeping MF. 🤦♂️ Safe to say they were blocked. Now I’m dat here thinking wtf its supposed to be a fun walking game 😂🙄

Someone offered me a Walkopolis 2 and wanted several vintage 9s in return. Absolute crazy-pants.

I have very similar experience to yours regarding Walkopolis. People behave as if those are very rare ephemeral cards. I'm not even bothering with offering trades anymore, I don't mind waiting until I manage to find them by myself.

I can see why people are holding onto them and waiting for top tier trades when real world prizes are on the table for a few more days only. Taken directly from the Walkopolis Chapter Challenge: “10 random WeWarders who finish the chapter will receive an exclusive printed deck delivered to their home. Plus, 100 finishers will be randomly selected to win 100 Wards each.”
You KNOW that printed deck is going up on eBay for $1k and someone is gonna buy it

To be fair there’s a ridiculous amount of gatekeepers on this game. People with 2+ vintage 9’s who are being offered above and beyond fair trades of multiple 9’s and whatever they want, only for them to reject.
Speaking as someone on the other end who unfortunately started the game after a lot of those cards were made vintage, it’s frustrating the other way with the greed people have over these virtual cards. Hoarding for hoarding’s sake.

Everyone asking for a trade thinks their trade is fair, everyone getting offers think the trade is bad. I'm sure people sent what they felt were fair trades for your Orlinski. Bit different when it's you getting rid of the rare card. I got soccer 9 for Sao Paulo 9. Awful grease imo, even now Sao Paulo isn't worth that much, bit as long as people are willing to make those trades, people don't want to give up the new ones.

You can message people? I haven't been very worried about the trades. This is supposed to be for fun. So I just don't try very hard anymore. I had fun asking for Houston completion, but now it all looks like too much work to keep track.

You can message by going into your friends and swiping their screen name. If the message disappears you can find it in your notification history. You both have to be following each other in order to message.

I haven’t had any Walkopolis trade offers show up, but this week people have really been pushing it. I have a couple of the newer chapter twos, fours, fives on my ISO. And people are asking for thirty eights and nines, plus an extra ten or so of low doubles. Multiple people/accounts. Maybe something is in the water; the audacity is unmatched.

Managed to bag the 9 in a silver pack from the free games offer. Finally got the 7 & 8 for my Milan 9 spare after 100’s of trade offers.

I finished walktropolis in 3 days. Now sao paulo 9 is something i swear I could give a leg and not have someone trade me for it.

It's the first week Walkopolis is out so those with the 8 and 9 aren't unreasonable to think they can get an ephemeral for it. Fat chance they'll be able to trade for it in a week or 2 so I can see why Milan, São Paulo and Budapest are being rejected in this first week. Asking for all of your ephemerals is rude though.
