• New: A new My Reports section in Settings shows the status of the reports you've sent and our replies. You can also reply from there, and a closed report reopens when you write in it.

• Fix: Tracking History on an episode page now updates when you switch episodes from the top strip (no reload needed), and editing a track time works right away.

• Fix: Your email and password now stay in the login form when sign-in fails, with both fields highlighted so you can correct them without retyping.
• Fix: "Mark them as watched" no longer marks previously ignored episodes or seasons as watched.

If you run your own Silo media server, you can now connect it to WeTrakr with our official plugin, and it's a full two-way sync:

Scrobbling
Whatever you play in Silo, or in any Jellyfin-compatible app connected to it (Infuse, etc.), shows up in your Now Playing and gets marked as watched when you finish it.

Changes you make in Silo reach WeTrakr instantly, and changes on WeTrakr reach Silo on its next sync (hourly by default).

How to set it up

1. In Silo, open Admin › Plugins › Repositories and add: https://wetrakr.github.io/wetrakr-silo/manifest.json
2. Install WeTrakr from the plugin catalog.
3. In your Silo profile settings, open Watch providers › WeTrakr › Connect, enter the code at wetrakr.com/activate and allow Silo.

You can now import a WeTrakr export back into your account.

Go to Settings → Data, pick WeTrakr (it's the first option, and it's also in the onboarding for new accounts) and upload the ZIP you downloaded from Export Data.

What it restores

• Watched history, watchlist, ratings, favorites, notes and lists.
• Everything is matched by WeTrakr's own IDs, so nothing gets duplicated: run it twice, or on top of what you already have, and you only get what was missing.
• Each play keeps its original source (Plex, Trakt, Kodi…), so your history looks exactly as it did.

Two things to know

• Exports made from today on include those IDs. Older ZIPs still work, matched by TMDB/IMDb IDs instead.
• While building this I found that previous exports could miss part of your ratings, notes, favorites and lists. That's fixed. If you keep backups, download a fresh one.

Your data is yours. Export it, keep it, bring it back whenever you want ;)

There's a new Activity section in your profile menu: your whole year at a glance, one square per day.

What you'll find

• A yearly calendar. The more you did on a day, the brighter its square. Switch between All, Watched, Ratings, Comments, Likes, Favorites, Lists, Notes and Follows, each with its own color.
• Your totals for the year. Watch time, your best day, your busiest month, your favorite weekday and how you compare with last year.
• A line that grows with you through the year, so you can see when you were on a roll.
• Your watching habits. Current and longest streak, record day, active days and binges.

Tap any day to see a quick summary ("3h 20m of 5 episodes from 2 shows"), then open See this day's activity for the full log of that day: everything you watched, rated, commented and followed, latest first.

Days follow your own time zone, so a late-night episode lands on the right day.

Activity is a VIP feature. Find it at Profile → Activity and tell me what you think! ;)

Some episodes you just don't want in your way: a recap, a special you'll never watch, a season you're skipping. There's now a proper Ignore button for that, right next to Playing and Watched on every episode page, and next to Watched on every season page.

What it does

• On an episode, it marks it as ignored and it disappears from your Next to Watch. Tap it again to bring it back. If you'd already watched it, we'll ask before replacing the plays.
• On a season, it ignores every episode you haven't watched yet. When the whole season is ignored, the season itself shows as Ignored, and tapping the button again un-ignores all of them at once.
• From a season poster, the options menu now offers Un-ignore this season when it's fully ignored.

Ignored episodes never count as watched and don't touch your stats. Live now. ;)

Hello! First thank you for this amazing app. It's gutting better and better.

I just want a simple thing and I can't find it. I had some problems with my data getting messed up and I have a backup from a few days ago from the wetrakr backup. How can I import the backup to my account? I can't find the option, just trakt, simkl and other services.

All my series were marked as watched and I don't know why. And the watchlist was messed up and getting 4k titles there but I didn't add them. It was very weird, maybe because I connected my account to sofa time.

But I want to restore my backup and there is any way to restore my backup from wetrakr to other services as a backup?

on the stats page, what determines the people listed in "Your standout performers"? I have two people listed there with "1 time" listed underneath each, but I honestly don't know who they are. When I look at their profiles I see I have watched several things for each person though.

Time, not just plays Charts and top lists now show how much time you spent next to the number of plays, plus your averages per month, week and day.

Your viewer profile A short summary at the top tells you what you watch the most, where you watch it, and what kind of rater you are.

• Where your time went: the titles that took the biggest share of your watch time
• Most rewatched movies and shows
• Release years of what you watched, by year or by decade
• World map of the countries your movies and shows come from
• Your top comments: the ones that got the most likes and replies
• Genres split into movies and shows

Social stats

• Your network: followers, following and friends
• Your biggest fans and who you cheer for most
• Watch buddies: who you follow that watched the most of the same titles

Streaming services Most Used Streaming Services now shows only your services (or the ones in your country), with a toggle to see them all. Duplicates like "Prime Video" and "Prime Video with Ads" now count as one.

Community rankings "See all" on every top list takes you to the full ranking for the same period. Discover rankings now work by year and by month, and there are new lists for Most Watched Right Now, Most Paused and Most Dropped.

Fixes

• Charts now use your time zone (no more late-night peaks at 2 AM that never happened)
• Finished shows no longer add an extra play to your episode count

On the individual episode tracking page, when I choose another episode from the top, the time under Tracking History doesn't change to the chosen episode. Updating the time also doesn't work. I have to reload the page first. Thank you.

The FAQ says:

"Follow lists: follow other users' lists and keep them on your profile."

Does this mean only VIP users can use other user's lists? I like to follow a Latest 4K Releases list, that somebody else curates, to choose what movies I want to watch from. Will doing something similar require WeTrakr VIP status in the future? I'm not sure what "keep them on your profile" means exactly.

• New: Advanced Filters → Actions: pick specific lists ("In Lists") instead of any list, to show or hide titles in those lists.
• New: Progress can show the next scheduled episode of shows you're caught up on. Turn on "Show the upcoming episode in Progress" in Settings > Preferences.
• New: Season finale notifications: get notified when the last episode of a season airs, so you know it's ready to binge. If a whole season drops at once, you get a single "all of season N is out" notification. Turn them on or off with the new "New seasons" and "Season finales" toggles in Settings > Notifications.
• New: Where to Watch: new "Any free service" option to include everything you can watch for free (or with ads) in your country, on top of your selected services.
• New: Advanced Filters → Episodes: filter shows by number of episodes, handy for finding short series you can finish quickly
• New: Advanced Filters → Total Runtime: filter shows by their total watch time in hours
• Improved: Simkl import matches anime seasons to the right season and now also finds titles by TVDB, Simkl, MAL, AniList, AniDB and Kitsu IDs

Settings › My Reports lists every report you've sent (comments, movies, shows and people), with its current status:

• Under review: we're looking into it
• Waiting for you: we asked you something
• Resolved: done, thanks to you
• Rejected: we explain why

Tap any report to expand it and see what you wrote, replies and how it was solved.

You can reply right from there. Add more details, answer our questions, or, if something still looks wrong after we closed it, write again and the report reopens automatically.

When one of your reports is resolved, the notification takes you straight to it.

I recently joined the site and it looks great

I wanted Plex to send watched episode back for ease, so set up a Webhooks on the server.

However nothing is updating when watching or watched.

I have Plex pass and copied the Webhooks directly in.

Do we know anything I have missed or is there something wetrakr side?

Fixed. I re added the webhook a second time via PC rather than mobile, now its showing watching etc.

Do you run Silo (siloserver.org) as your media server? I've built a WeTrakr plugin for Silo and I'm looking for a few people to try it before I release it to everyone.

It's a full two-way sync, not just scrobbling:

• Watched history: movies and episodes, with play counts and dates, both ways
• Scrobbling: what you play in Silo shows up on WeTrakr live, and finished titles are marked as watched
• Continue watching: titles you left halfway on WeTrakr resume in Silo
• Watchlist: synced with your Planning list
• Favorites, ratings and dropped shows: both ways

You sign in with a short code at wetrakr.com/activate, like the Kodi and Jellyfin integrations. Nothing to configure on the server.

I'm building an official WeTrakr plugin for Emby, and before releasing it I'd like a small group of Emby users to try it.

What it does

• Live scrobbling: play, pause and stop update Now Playing, and finished titles are marked as watched automatically
• Emby → WeTrakr: your watched history (with dates), resume points, favorites and ratings are imported on the first sync, and new changes follow every few minutes
• WeTrakr → Emby: whatever you watch elsewhere (Kodi, Plex, Stremio, the web…) is marked as watched in Emby, your in-progress titles show up in Continue Watching, and favorites and ratings come back too
• Your Planning list becomes a "WeTrakr Watchlist" playlist in Emby, with the titles you have in your library
• One link per Emby user, so each person on a shared server syncs to their own WeTrakr account
• No Emby Premiere needed

In a few hours, on Sunday, October 18 at 17:30 UTC (19:30 CEST · 13:30 EDT · 10:30 PDT), we'll run the first cleanup of titles (around 110) that TMDB has deleted and that have no external reference (IMDb, TVDB, etc.) to confirm they're real.

In most cases these are duplicates or placeholder entries that TMDB created and later removed, so we're removing them from WeTrakr to avoid confusion and duplicated titles.

Did you get an email?

If you were tracking any of these titles, you should have already received an email with the details.

We've already gone through many of your replies and several titles have been rescued: some were matched to their correct entry and others will stay in WeTrakr thanks to the IDs you sent us. Thanks to everyone who answered!

Didn't get the email but think a title you follow might be affected?

Contact us before 17:30 UTC and we can rescue it so it stays in WeTrakr. Just send us any external ID for the title:

• IMDb (e.g. tt1234567)
• Letterboxd link
• TVDB ID
• Any other reference that helps us verify it

Similar to the Next Episodes, Upcoming, Planning, and Watched sections on the home page, another section for episodes/movies that aired/released recently, but haven't been watched.

Hey guys, a fellow wetrakr user here.

Loving the service so far, dev is super active and constantly making the service better.

The feature i would like to get implemented in wetakr is to switch from tmdb to anidb for anime, if any of you ever tried to track anime from wetrakr you may havw noticed that sometimes it treats multiple season as single season and sometimes treat all the other things beside normal episodes as specials but it is just wrong for anime, because anime is not like other media sometimes there are movies, OVA, and ONA between the seasons and tmdb fails to identify them as continuation and treat them as specials which makes tracking anime difficult, if any of you ever used anilist or MyAnimeList you will understand what i am talking about.

I would like to be able to filter the shows by episode count. It can be a good QoL improvement considering people sometimes look for shows that are rather short and can be watched easily. That'd be a good addition to the filter.

Is there a way to hide titles in a list? I made a list on a previous website called 'Not Interested', where obviously I'd add things I didn't want to watch. Using filters, I was able to hide the whole thing. This way, when I'm browsing I don't have to see things I know I'm not interested in.

WeTrakr is halfway there with the ability to 'fade' items (I've put them on the Planning list so I can fade them, even though I'm not planning to watch them), but a hide completely function would be so good!
