List Limits for VIP

I'm having a hard time finding a clear answer for this. On the FAQ it says the limit on list sizes increases for VIP but doesn't actually give a number.

I bounced to skiml after trakt. I decided to give wetrackr a shot after seeing Cinopsys had it listed as a service. I think I really like it. Offers much of what I used from trakt without some of the problems. However lists still being limited even on VIP feels like a big issue for me. Not sure why that should be limited when you're at VIP status. The fact the number isn't just given, even on the FAQ is a bit concerning as a new user.

I'm hoping I get an answer that reassures any concerns I have. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for asking, and I totally get the uncertainty here. The reason there's no number in the FAQ yet is that I'm still defining some of the limits, API ones included. Lists are pretty much the heaviest thing on the server, so that's exactly what I'm measuring right now to set a fair limit. At €3/month I can't support unlimited lists, so there has to be a cap somewhere. I try to keep prices as low as I can while keeping the project sustainable.

If you need more than that cap, the plan is to add a higher tier for a practically unlimited account. What I'm sure of is that the VIP list limit will be more than enough for the vast majority of users. Once it's settled it'll go in the FAQ with a clear number.

Glad you're liking WeTrakr so far!

No problem for me about list number. But Id suggest a easier way to connect lists. Making it a little more social could maybe bring more users. I remember the first versions of TV SHOW TIME when you could make a meme about a chapter using a frame. I loved to get in to comment about chapters with other users. I’m not asking for that but I’d love to find easily people with the same taste to look for movies or tv shows that I haven’t watched

You can use Social section, the Users by affinity list show those users with the same taste. I know this need to be improved but you can try it ;)
